“The pillow itself is really comfortable and my wife really likes it. The only shoes it did take 2 1/2 weeks to arrive and it has a really strong chemical smell so I’ve had to leave it outside for a few days just to air it off.”
“The website states that this is a London based company, I ordered and expected it to be delivered within a few days. It’s been 6 working days and the shipment is coming from Germany via DHL, if I had been made aware delivery would have take so long I wouldn’t have ordered. Overall I would not recommend for this reason alone.”
“This is a nice pillow but it’s stinks of plastic / synthetic materials. I dropped them a note about it but never heard back. I actually can’t believe how strong the smell was and even now after weeks you can still smell it. The first time I tried to use it (even after airing out) it actually made me feel queasy.

“we opted to go for cushy on reccomendation but the smell of the fabric when it arrived was very chemical and didn't make it easy to use straight away. the aroma has faded somewhat after a week now but it's not what we expected and would've maybe gone for something else had we known. generally is a good product and made well but the factory smell on the fabric is something to be aware of.”
“It’s a super product. Absolutely what it says on the ting. A couple of improvement points for future models might be: clearer instructions to put the cover on and (this is very much a point from my partner during the first trimester of her pregnancy) neutralise any ‘smells’ as much as possible as possible. To me it smelled new, clean and fresh, but somehow to my wife the smell was intolerable and nauseating (although, she admits, not necessarily bad!). Any means of mitigating that would be good!”
“Having received this pillow, I think it’s incredibly overpriced. You can get a similar product for much less.
Previous reviews had stated it has an overwhelming smell of chemicals but I decided to take a chance - sadly, the other reviews were correct. It takes me aback every time I use the cushion.
Finally, delivery took longer than it should’ve.

Great design and idea and bought as a non pregnant person who just likes a pillow to sleep on my side as I get bad back ache and want something that could keep my back in a straight position while on my side. My only complaint is that it has a really strong chemical smell and if I had a baby I wouldn’t be using it for my baby as it’s very strong smell.”
“Overall the pillow is comfortable and stylish, and comes in a lovely carry bag which will be useful for the hospital… however there’s definitely a few major flaws. Please note these are just my opinions and I’ve got no brands to compare it to and this is the only pillow I have owned. Also none of them are bad enough that I’d send the pillow back, just all a bit annoying tbh.
- There is a very overpowering resin smell to the pillow. I had to fill the case with dryer sheets to try and minimise this. After a few weeks it’s died down a bit but the plasticky smell was even transferring to my pyjamas and woke me up on occasion in that first week because it was so strong. Doesn’t help that pregnancy nose is a traitor anyway.
- It loosens quickly so if you like it fuller you have to retie often.
- The cloth case is about 10-14 cms too long on either end in my opinion. I often become startled in bed thinking something is touching my feet and it’s just the end of the cover hanging around like nobody’s business.
- The chunky way that the ends are tied isn’t very comfortable to prop your chin on to sleep. I hadn’t intended to sleep with any of it under my face because of the plastic smell and because my actual pillow is heaven so the end falls just under my face and definitely isn’t the most comfortable.”
“I bought a gift for my pregnant daughter which was unavailable in the colour she ordered. She got in touch with you and you offered her another colour, but I never got any correspondence from you that this was ok. I have now received it and given it to her, and she is happy and you gave her an extra cover, but a bit disappointed that you never contacted me.”
“Absolutely love the product, so comfortable! Definitely a premium brand, I appreciate the fabric, packaging and feel. I must say, I was slightly disappointed with the colour of the ‘hot chocolate’ colour way. I feel this is more terracotta and will look to potentially change in the near future. Hastily put the pillowcase on so couldn’t asked for a exchange. Overall lovely product though. Thanks!”
“The cushion is very comfortable and love the design, however the inner has an extremely unpleasant, chemical-like smell which I’ve been unable to get rid of - despite leaving the cushion outside all day to try and eradicate the smell. As I am highly sensitive to smell during pregnancy, this has really impacted the product and I’m surprised it hasn’t been mentioned more (lots of similar reviews on Reddit though).”
“You can tell it's a good quality product, and the company spend plenty of resources to create a beautiful, functional product. Super comfy! I use it every day from laying on it to meditating or using it as a support on the sofa while watching TV.”
“The cushy puff has changed my life. I’m so happy about it, whenever we have visitors I drag it out from the bedroom to show them, like a lion with a new kill. Me and my partner have changed the lyrics to R.E.Ms “this one goes out to the one I love”, replacing “one I love” with “cushy puff”. All my hip pain from sleeping has nearly completely vanished, and when it crops up occasionally it goes again quickly. I’m going on tour next week at the start of my third trimester, so the travel bag was a really massive sell to me too! Thank you cushy puff!”
