We were extremely disappointed with the service from beginning to end. We were asked to pay the full amount before exchange of contracts and told verbally that the money would be transferred to another date if the move fell through. We then came across their T&Cs, which stated that part of the money would have been non-refundable. We were not comfortable doing this so we cancelled our original booking. When the move was more certain, the company accepted a booking much nearer to the time with full payment up front, for what they suggested would be a 2 day job. On the 2nd day of the 2-day move, they did not turn up until almost 4 hours late. We were told by the movers that they had been sent on another paid job. There was lots of packing still to do, dismantling furniture, and 2 trips to our new home. We paid out of pocket for a 2nd van as this was the only way the move was going ahead that day. After leaving us without almost 4 hours of paid work on moving day, they were ready to charge us for another morning's work the next day to complete the job. Being a hurried job, numerous items were damaged and they are now ignoring our claim for reimbursement. I must credit some of their men, especially Alastair, who was exceptional and went out of his way to try to help us out. I felt bad for the movers who would not have had anything to eat until almost midnight, had I not bought pizzas for everyone! I am glad that I have now been allowed to post my review on this website - I only hope it is not taken down, because I do not want others to face the same difficulties that we did during our move.

Damaged our wooden floor in the new house, pixels out on the TV, smashed plates. Misplaced one out of three crates on moving day (3rd of our belongings) and had to go back to the warehouse to find it. Didn't take everything from the old house when moving out and had to call them to arrange a second visit. Three weeks later Daleys promised to send a company to fix the floor but now no communication again. I've been more than reasonable and patient but am tired of chasing this now.

Mr Roscoe, thank you for your review. Which we are obviously disappointed with as the previous review provided on the moving day itself was a 5 star review and a 10/10 score. Because it is important that we provide context to anyone reading this review, we have to say that we agree with the damage to the floor, which you will agree we have never disputed and we have apologised for. The damage occurred due to a very tight turning circle and a very large piece of furniture, we should have placed flooring protection on the floor as we normally would do and on this occasion the crew made a poor assessment as to whether protection was required. We do however dispute your timeline - it hasn't been three weeks in which you have been waiting for a reply, we sent someone to inspect and attempt to repair the very small damage to the floor on the same day, we also acted upon your call the next day to report the damage, upon this call we agreed some more detail was required and we arranged with you another visit from us on Monday last week (8/11), we did promise to come back to you once we had appointed a flooring specialist, which the specialist contacted yourself directly within the 7 days promised. Your point about being 'tired of chasing this now' - we don't believe there is anything to chase, we laid out the timeline required when the issue was first reported and we are still within that time period as separate elements of inspection and appointment. We have also sent you multiple emails, left multiple Voicemails and have visited your property twice to view the damage. Our appointed Contractor will resolve the matter directly with yourself. Regarding the damage to the plates, this hasn't previously been recorded, but we do note that you packed these items yourself, so we cannot determine whether they were packed properly. The TV missing Pixels is a common issue on any LCD TV as any Manufacturer would agree, and will not be because of any sustained or impact damage - even Manufacturers do not cover faulty pixels as part of a warranty as they are an uncontrollable and happen for no given reason. Finally regarding the 'misplaced' crate, we agree this happened - but it wasn't 'misplaced' it just wasn't loaded to the vehicle on the first shipment but within an hour of this being reported to us, we had dispatched the same crew back to your property to deliver it.
