Appliance ordered 14July with 7-10 day delivery time. I phoned on 26 July to track product. I was told it was in Glasgow and would be delivered on 27/28 July. Phoned again on 28July -was told it was in Cambuslang but it would not be delivered till 31July. Phoned afternoon of 31July -was told it would be delivered on 1 August. I asked to speak to manager who did not come to phone but told receptionist to say it would be delivered by 5pm that day. An hour or so later Delivery man arrived looking to pick up a palette of 8 fridge freezers from our house!! Much confusion. However after yet another phone call the item was delivered at 4.45pm. Not good customer service - very inconvenient for me waiting in on several occasions for order which did not arrive . We could have been kept informed .

Delivery time inaccurate. Was to be 5-10 working days, turned out to be 13. Company did not call back with information regarding tracking of the goods, even though informed that they would.

I ordered a tumble dryer and the order was confirmed. Then however I was told, the, dryer was not available and there had been a miscalculation in stock. Understandable to a degree, but disappointed. However the next day had a phone call to say dryer was to be delivered and the delivery man actually had the dryer to hand to deliver. Happy customer. Waited for delivery. No dryer or delivery materialised. Phoned company and they maintained dryer not available and they did not know how delivery man had dryer, so must be a paperwork mistake. I pointed out not paperwork query as delivery man said, they had actual dryer to deliver!!! Company apologised, but no dryer and disappointed customer.

I purchased a wine fridge. It was sent from the head office to the distributors within a couple of days which was good but it then took almost 2 weeks to be delivered from there. Had to make 4 or 5 phone calls to the distribution people chasing it up.

This is the second time i have used Deals4u for appliances , but only because they offered the lowest prices i could find at the time. The reason for rating poor is because of the delivery companies they use who are not doing Deals4u any favours. 2 years ago i ordered an oven and was given a delivery date but it never arrived despite my wife waiting in all day , they maintained they had left a message on our landline phone but that was a lie as we had no message facility on that phone and when it did arrive the next day the guy was very sheepish about what happened when i questioned him. With regards to the recent delivery earlier this month well we didn't even get a call with a delivery date after 10 working days despite them having 2 phone numbers and it was only when i phoned Deals4u and spoke to a girl who was very helpful and later phoned me back that i found out the appliance was already on the lorry for delivery the next day, they simply hadn't bothered to contact me. So Deals4u need to improve their delivery standards if they want to recieve a more favourable rating.

My bread maker was ordered on the 28th of December. It was out of stock and I was told it would arrive 2 to 3 weeks later. A very helpful lady, Grainne, emailed me to say there was no white machine but there was a black one. She ordered it for me, but then had to chase up the supplier.....hopefully. it will arrive on Friday. Then, I can review the machine! Thanks Grainne!

Item ordered took over 3 weeks to arrive! No communication from the company,so had to phone them on several occasions to find out what was going on. When it was ready for delivery, the courier company was supposed to contact me to arrange it(ha ha). My oven arrived out of the blue at 06.25 one morning! Not very impressed with the whole experience.

Not very satisfactory on the communication front but on the plus side the phone operatives were very polite. Although I did get the goods It was a slow process. My order was actually out of stock but no one contacted me to say there was going to be a delay. I phoned up to be told it had been out of stock but was being dispatched that day, a tracker number would be sent to me that afternoon and my goods would arrive on Friday. The next day after not receiving the tracker number I rang again to be informed that it was on it's way and would arrive Monday. When I queried the arrival day I was then told it hadn't been dispatched the previous day as originally informed and it would be arriving on Monday. By simply phoning me to advise A) it was out of stock B) it hadn't been dispatched would have been polite and informative. I was beginning to think they were a rogue company.

We waited almost 3 weeks for my tumble dryer, we phoned several times to see how the order was going, although the young ladies we spoke to were quite helpful we were told the delivery company had phoned to make a deliver day, they didn't phone we have an answer machine, on another occasion we were told they had phoned on a particular day we were both in no phone call. We were then promised a delivery day of a Thursday didn't arrive, phoned again arrived 7.45am on the Friday. Will think twice before using deals 4u again, I could have paid a few pounds extra at john lewis and received the dryer within 4 days.

On the website I was told that my cooker was in stock, however, when the manufacturer got in touch they informed me that the cooker was currently out of stock and that it would be a 6 week wait. I have yet to receive the cooker and I am being asked to write a review.

How am I suppose to write a review when I have not received any information regarding this product that I have purchased. I have received an invoice and nothing else. No information that the product is on its way to me. No email where I am able to track this item and no telephone call with a date for delivery. Please confirm Thanks

So far I'm reasonably happy with the service, though I'm still awaiting delivery of our (second) electric stove. The first stove arrived earlier than expected and fortunately we were at home to accept delivery. I say 'fortunately' because the delivery driver didn't phone to say when he would arrive, which we were told he would do. So, a small black mark for this. When I unpacked the stove I found that one of the doors was badly damaged and it had to be returned. (The packaging was undamaged so I don't necessarily blame Deals4U for this. It's likely it was damged at the factory.) Phoned Deals4u and there was no argument over replacing it. The damaged stove was collected when they said it would be, though again no phone call from the driver to advise us he was on his way. Following this there was no word from Deals4u on when the replacement stove would arrive, so phoned today (17 June) to enquire abut this. Was told it had been despatched and that I would receive an email later today confirming dispatch and giving delivery date. Was told this was likely to be Monday 20 June. However, as I type this email (around 7.00pm on 17 June), I have not yet received the promised email. Another black mark. In summary, whilst I was happy with the price charged, which was very competitive, Deals4U has work to do to to improve its commications with its customers to ensure they are kept fully informed. That said, I will change my mind on the above star rating if I encounter further problems. WE SAID WE WOULD ADD TO THE ABOVE REVIEW IF WE HAD FURTHER PROBLEMS, WHICH WE HAVE HAD. THE REPLACEMENT STOVE ARRIVED ON 20 JUNE, AS PROMISED. WE UNPACKED IT AND, UNBELIEVABLY, IT TOO WAS DAMAGED. EVEN MORE UNBELIEVABLY IT WAS DAMAGED IN EXACTLY THE SAME PLACE AS THE FIRST STOVE. (PART OF THE RIGHT-HAND DOOR ATTACHED TO THE TOP HINGE HAD SHEARED OFF.) AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS THE FIRST STOVE BACK AGAIN BUT AFTER CAREFUL CHECKING I DON'T THINK IT WAS. THIS IS EVEN MORE WORRYING AS IT WOULD SUGGEST A MANUFACTURING FAULT RATHER THAN DAMAGE INCURRED DURING TRANSPORTATION. WE ARE AWAITING OUR THIRD STOVE DUE FOR DELIVERY ON FRIDAY 24 JUNE OR MONDAY 27 JUNE. IF IT TOO IS DAMAGED WE WILL GIVE UP AND ASK FOR A REFUND, WHICH DEALS4u HAVE AGREED TO DO. YOU COULDN'T MAKE IT UP... THE STOVE IN QUESTION IS A DIMPLEX STOCKBRIDGE. IF YOU ARE THINKING OF ORDERING ONE - BEWARE. OUR ORIGINAL STAR RATING HAS BEEN REDUCED FROM 'GOOD' TO 'POOR', THOUGH WE CAN'T BE CERTAIN THAT OUR PROBLEMS ARE DOWN TO DEALS4u. WHOEVER IS AT FAULT THE FACT IS THAT WE ARE NOW ON OUR THIRD STOVE, AND, ALL ELSE ASIDE, WE ARE HEARTILY FED UP WITH UNPACKING AND REPACKING DAMAGED STOVES.

My main worry with deals4U was the lack of communication. After spending nearly £500.00 on a cooker hood, I received a confirmation email. 2 weeks later I had heard no more and began to worry that something was up. The money had been taken from my account, but no communication about a delivery date, or even that they were still trying to organise for delivery. I did suspect a bogus company so wrote an email, but had no response. On phoning, I was told that my item was due for delivery that day, between 2 and 6. Communication with the delivery driver was good from then on. If it had been sent to the delivery company earlier that week, a simple email stating that would have saved a bit of worry. People are still nervous about buying online, I buy frequently from amazon, john lewis, marks, as well as smaller companies and have always been reassured in emails etc. that I was going to receive my order. I don't think that I'd use Deals4U again and certainly wouldn't recommend it. In hindsight, I would have spent £20 more buying it from another trader. Sorry, but communication is vital in developing customer confidence.
