These desert boots had a major problem, which was that the pink suede insides rubbed off onto my socks and it took 2 washes to get them back to the right colour. I returned them and was pleased with the speed with which the refund was made. I suggest you make a note of this problem on the website.

I normally take a size 8 but ordered a size 9 to ensure a comfortable fit. The size 9s arrived and the are a snug fit so you need to watch the sizes. The soles of the boots seem to be made of plastic or a very hard rubber. They are NOT the usual softer rubber ones normally associated with a good quality boot which absorb the impact of heel strike. At £30 I suppose you get what you pay for, but I'll certainly look for better quality over cost in he future.

Whilst the delivery service was very good, the shoes are actually much bigger than an average size 5. I've had to return them as they are far too big to wear, even with an insole and thick socks.

I love the light tan colour that I bought. However, I added the promo for a protectant on the boots- I wore them to work on the first day I bought them and it sprinkled a little on the way home. The tiny bit of rain STAINED the boots! Now, they're a sandy tan colour with all these stains over them. I'm not thrilled. I won't be wearing them until Summer now to avoid rain stains! (That's a thing!?) Also not the most comfortable. I also happened to kick something accidentally on the first day I wore them, and it seemed to have loosened the sole from the shoe a bit already. What a shame! Desert Boots also sent me someone else's order initially and that was a drag to deal with...

This was the second time I had purchased from Desert Boots.com and as expected the order was processed correctly in a timely manner and the boots arrived with me in good order. Sadly the after sales service was weak leaning towards non existent!! On the second day of owning my new boots I accidentally knocked a glass of drinking water over the left boot. Now this shouldn't have been a problem as I paid extra for the scotch guard treatment, sadly the water has left a stain that is proving difficult to remove (I thought scotch guard was a market leader in fabric protection IF IT WAS EVER APPLIED). I contacted Desert Boots numerous times via phone and email explaining my problem and the fact that scotch guard should protect boots from things like drinking water but on each occasion I have never received the promised phone call or email in reply. All I can say is by all means buy from Desert Boots as they supply good stock but hope and pray that nothing goes wrong as the concept of customer service seems not to be part of their mission statement.

Bad quality and can be quite hard to walk in after awhile and colour is not as expected personally would not purchase again fast delivery though and reasonable prices

I placed an order for Gobi desert boots at the begining of December and still have no boots. Several phone calls later and no further forward. Would like a full refund as not my fault I did not receive the product.

The sizing of the boots was very confusing and they do not tally with my usual size at all. As no larger size in the boots I chose I have to get a refund and start again, incurring more postage costs. It is not possible to exchange for a different style.

The size 38 boots that I ordered are mauve not purple and have come up very small even though I am usually a size 37 and so will have to be returned. Customers should note that Shuperb is part of the same company and may have some better offers.

I am 58 years old. For the last 40 years I have worn size 10 (UK) shoes and boots. But I ordered a pair of size 10 (UK) boots and they were way too small. I couldn't even get my feet into them, even though they were marked size 10. Very annoying -- but even more annoying, it is costing ME £5 to return goods that were clearly unfit for purpose. Their mistake, yet I pay? I am unimpressed. I will never be using this company again -- and I recommend all other would-be customers to avoid them until they change their returns policy.

Boots were far too narrow, tongue and ears stitched far too far down the boot, unable to get on to try properly! Cost of return postage £5 - far too high, sent by royal mail for £3.80. Have now got a very nice pair of dessis at Cotton Traders for a similar price.

I recently bought a pair of DARA roamers from Desert Boots.com. They were cheaply priced and I was sad to see that their quality matched their price tag. Stiff soles, poor quality lacing position, have left my calves in agony. Customer services were unwilling and unlikely to give me a full refund as I had worn the shoes outside I was disappointed to hear their lack of care that the quality of the shoe had injured me, and they didnt seem willing to compromise and issue me a return or refund.

I originally ordered a pair of women's Harrykson Jada in beautiful red, size 7, which is my standard size. The boots were lovely but they were so small I felt like one of the ugly sisters trying on the glass slipper! I'm afraid the boots (despite being marked as a size 7, were nowhere near a standard UK 7. I could not get the boots on at all! I have re-ordered a pair of boots in a different size and I anticipate their arrival in the next couple of days. I was very disappointed with the sizing of the Harrykson boots and my confidence to order footwear online is rather dented. I will not be placing a further order, as it cost me £5 to return the boots despite the fault lying with the manufacturer. Your boots are lovely but if they don't fit, appearances count for nought.

Hi Dinah, I am sorry to hear your boots didn’t fit, there is a range of standard and wide fit on our website. The returns label is a flat rate at £5 for sending an item back. This covers the postage for you sending the item to us and for us to dispatch a replacement. You can use your own courier if it works out better for you. They shoes did not match in terms of colour and suede texture. They were also very narrow; desert boots are meant to be roomy! You also need to supply an overhead view to allow the buyer to see the shape of the toe. The shoes I ordered did not have the classic wide toe but a narrow "fashion" toe. I emailed you to advise in advance of returning them but I had no response. For me to have to bear the cost of returning the faulty shoes is not correct. So many problems. Very sad. Almost 3 years ago I bought proper Desert Boots from you and they were great and still in daily use. I still need proper classic Desert Boots!!

Suede is a natural material and very difficult to photograph an image that represents the entire range. Despite this, there shouldn’t be a vast difference in colour between the item displayed on screen and the actual product.
