“Uncomfortable boots and not the same colour as per the photo”

Hi Andrew, I am extremely sorry you feel this way about your purchase. All our pictures are taken by a professional in-house photographer and does resemble the product you receive. As suede is a natural material, it is very difficult to photograph an image that equates for the entire size range as it varies from each boot. “The boots I received were very clearly different colours, and one was a different texture to the other, looked like it had been on display for a while. Having taken some photos and been instructed to send them back, whilst I did receive a refund, I was disappointed to have the postage removed from my refund. The goods were faulty, so I don't feel I should have had to pay for the return postage.”

“There was a mark on the toe of one of the shoes. Also after one day the leather inset became dislodged in both shoes, showing underneath they are quite flimsy and made of foam-like material. I do love the shoes but I can't see them lasting as long as i would like them to.”

“Arrived on time good processing of the order & delivery etc. Strange thing was that although 2 styles purchased that were the same brand, the fit was far better on one than the other”

“My first pair of boots took almost two weeks to arrive. I had to return them the next day as the insole was coming away from inside the boot. My order was placed and paid for on the 15th April and I still don't have my replacement boots! All I get are requests to write reviews! well, here you are!”

Hi Jeremy, The review emails are automatically sent after a set period of time once the order has been dispatched. We are very sorry that your fist pair of boots arrived with a fault and that the delivery took a while but please note that the week you ordered it was the Easter bank holiday weekend which is why it took a while. Regarding your replacement boots they were dispatched the other day so should arrive any day now.

“Really disappointed with this product, the image of them on line made them look good, having worn them only 3 times the insole has moved and they look cheap if I had seen these in a shop I would have never paid what I did for them oh well the joys of shopping on line we live and learn”

All our photos are shot in a professional studio by a professional photographer, but with the nature of natural material colouring can vary slightly from shoe to shoe. If you contact our customer services team on cs@desertboots.com they can try and assist you in resolving the problem you have with the insole.

“The sizing isn't very good as I am a five and my shoes are big on my feet. That's another, they don't fit the foot properly and also the colouring is bad as the shoes have fad parts that are visible and not blended in.”

Hi Paige, We are sorry that you are not happy with your purchase. With suede being a natural material, to get the colouring it is dyed and when if it gets brushed the wrong way can make it look like there are faded parts. If you contact our returns department they will be more than happy to help you resolve the issue.

“Prompt delivery of order which was the wrong size. I followed the instructions for returns and exchange and am still waiting for order. No communication from company as yet as to what has happened.”

“Ordered 2 pair of choose heading to sweden, I payed up and expected them in a few days. After two days I get another email demanding me for more money for the delivery because sweden is apparently a remote place... I choose sweden as destination on your website when ordering so I really think your delivery fee caluculator should include the whole cost then and there. In all my years of ordering online ive never been asked to pay more after ive already ordered, its absurd and unethical. Fix this.”

“I am ex military and have worn desert boots for many years The service was great and very prompt although my boots came up big as I could have had a size 8 even though I've always been a 9 and my partners boots which were mustard came as two different shades completely I will still continue to order threw you guys but hope the product is improved”

“My daughter purchased these boots along with the scotchgurard protection. The boots arrived without the scotchgurard protection so I send an e-mail stating this on the day the boots arrived. I have heard nothing from the seller and my daughter paid for this item.”

“I placed my order on 6th December for a delivery in a European country. By the 19th December the shoes had still not arrived. When I contacted the company for an update I was given a link to Royal Mail and a tracking number. When I entered the tracking number in the system it said the number was not recognized. So, I'm still waiting.”

“Both boots had marks on them, but as only required for gardening/snow not worth returning. Good wide fitting though and if in good condition, good value for money. Delivery very, very, disappointing!!! My Order stated leave by back door if not in. Although this WAS stated on the delivery note - it WAS NOT stated on the external packaging. The external label stated " if not in leave a note and return for collection at local PO delivery office" I HAD TO MAKE A SPECIAL 12 MILE JOURNEY TO COLLECT THE NEXT DAY. WQhat a wastev of time.”
