Direct villas have stolen £4000 of our money, We were due to holiday in May 2021. I checked my holiday account in January and found their was nothing on the website. I immediatly had a gut feeling that something was wrong. From that date i sent e.mails, telephone calls etc, but no reply. I then got an e.mail in March to say the company had ceased trading., and advised to contact my credit card company or insurance. Because the company had not gone into liquidation the insurance company would not pay, therefore i went to my credit card company who after investigation refunded me my money all but the deposit of £900 as the time allowed to claim with the company was out of date. I have continued to fight for the remainder of the balance but to no avail. I have tried IPP, ABTA, RESOLVER. Because the company have not gone into liquidation , i cannot find a way to get my money. Vivien who was dealing with our holiday should be ashamed of herself and i hope she gets her just deserts. If anyone has any ideas please contact me. I sympathise with all of you who are in my position.

Does anyone have something official about them going out of business.I need proof to make a claim, and can't find find anything on the internet.

I have a holiday booked for September 2021, and they have £3k of my money. I have this evening received an e-mail from them, advising me that they have ceased trading immediately. They have said they are unable to refund my money, and I should claim on insurance or credit card company. Has anyone managed to make a successful claim yet?

Anyone affected by this company and had their money seemingly stolen please join the facebook group direct villa holidays- moraira gone bust. Hopefully we can all collaborate information to find out what has happened and recoup what we've lost

I am another one who only recently realised that everything website etc have disappeared they owe us our deposit of just over £500 have been trying to claim it back through credit card but they want proof of liquidation not having a lot of joy with them.

They have £2K of my money and have disappeared without a word. I have a villa booked for Sept 2021 and I find it for hire elsewhere on my dates??? If anyone find out any info please share.

Promised monies due on cancellation within specified time some £1860 Vivian made continuous excuses and promises to refund agreed amount .I eventually turned to credit card provider who could not agree to reimburse the amount .This company should not be allowed to trade again it appears they have vanished taking peoples money just theft . Hopefully they will not be allowed the benefit of credit card facilities if they ever try to set up another company.

they have taken my money too!!! i have now re booked with www.morairaandjaveavillas.com they have been nothing but understanding to our horrible situation and helping us book a villa for this year!!!

This is a No Star rating. 26/02/2021 I have been checking on them quite regularly but now it appears they have just vanished. Website down, Facebook page gone, Phone number now not in use and no repsonse to emails. To fail in business at a time like this not unusual but not to advise customers or leave the website up with some notification is unforgivable. Only recourse now is via the credit card company, thank god i have the booking details on my system and not just on theirs.

Looks seriously like this company have done a runner with peoples deposits etc - no answer to email or phone. Website no longer available including your proof of booking, invoice, details etc. A simple message explaining theirs / ours predicament on their page would have saved a lot of frustration. Unfortunately looks like a section 75 credit card or hols insurance claim.

Absolutely disgusted with this company can’t get hold of them like other peoples comments completely vanished from websites and Facebook, rang credit card company they can’t help get any money back from them

Yes this company has vanished! We tried repeatedly to contact them prior to this though to no avail. I am pleased you have reported them to the Spanish Authorities. I think there are going to be lots of customers who are expecting to go on holiday only to find the company have disappeared.

Has anyone been able to contact this company? They seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth with my money!!!! I have had to refer this to the Official Government Department of Tourism Spain. I would love to know if anyone has heard anything at all about this company as I am furious!!

Do Not book with this company, we had a booking with them,our flights have been cancelled but they are refusing to pay our money back. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

I had to give them one star to be able to post this review. I would not book a holiday with this company to save my life. Our experience of one of their “wonderful” villas in Moraira was truly horrendous. It was dirty, smelly, with missing linen and towels, a fridge in a utility room that had no socket outlets, four out of six sun beds broken and unusable, a view of the harbour if you were willing to fight your way through impenetrable undergrowth, grass not cut for months, only four dining room chairs in a six bedded villa and these four chairs also doubled up as chairs for the terrace dining table, a set of wicker terrace chairs, table and sofa which was literally falling apart with cushions that I would not allow my dog to lie on. Red carpets in the photos of every room turned out to be a single carpet that had been moved around for the photo shoot. I could go on but I’m wondering why I am wasting my time trying to remember all of the faults. Direct Villas denied all responsibility for the villa even though they had obviously not inspected the villa for some considerable time, if at all. They blame the owners and tell you the small print absolves them from all responsibility. After much argument they offered me a discount on my next holiday but only if I booked one of their villas. The same discount was on offer to everybody else on their site. Thanks for a very expensive mistake, Direct Villas.

It seems like Direct Villa is going bust. Villa owners are not being paid whats been ows to them. Has any other villa owners experiencing this company not paying them for all the past booking where direct villas have taken full payments from their clients and not paying the villa owners. Be careful if you are booking your holidays with Direct villas as I think they are closing this company.

I am villa owner and direct villa has taken full payments from their client but not paid villa owners. It seems like Direct Villas are in financial difficulties as a villa owner Direct villa has not paid us for past 7 months. We have incurred so much cost for electricity the clients used, getting villa clean, laundry costs, garden and pool cleaning cost. Direct Villas has not paid us. Has any other villa owners experiencing this? I just want direct villas to pay what is owed to us as villa has been used by fully paid clients. Direct Villa taken clients money and not paying the villa owners. Direct Villa ows me £8000 Please help if any other villa owners experiencing this? Be careful booking your holiday with Direct Villa holidays as villa owners aren't been paid. Direct Villa is taking full payments from their client who are booking their holidays. if u book a holiday u might not have places to stay. Please be careful. I think this company is cheating us out of what is owed to us

Direct Villa Holidays Moraira We stayed at Villa Sylviana Moraira Spain The Villa could do with a deep clean smelt dirty overall The pool was Dirty and exposed rusty ladders Had to shower outside 20 meters from villa inside shower not working Jacuzzi broken not working outside pool area dirty feral cats present, so not able to open doors or windows. Lovely Rusty dishwasher I call Direct Villa Holidays prior to leaving the uk to make sure that this property would be clean with no issues. I called them on arrival request to be moved, they said this would be done the next following day. Direct Villas called the next day to say they could not move us no other suitable property was available. We Paid £1400.00 for to weeks a complete joke.. I would be very careful about this company and view what other customers comments in the past At no point did this company call over to discuss issues just don't care
