“Doublelist works, but compared to newer dating apps, it feels stuck in the past. The site is basic, and you have to repost often to stay seen. I’ve had some luck, but I wish they’d update features. Still, it’s better than nothing if you’re looking for something casual.”

“I tried Doublelist out of curiosity, but wow… the number of creepy, pushy messages is wild. Some guys are normal, but a LOT are aggressive. If you're a woman here, be ready to block & ignore a lot. There are some decent convos, but you gotta dig through the nonsense.”

“Love the idea, hate the execution. Scammers & fake profiles make it hard to find real people. If Doublelist had better verification, it’d be awesome. I still check it now & then, but I gotta be extra careful. Wish there were more features to filter out the junk.”

“I used Doublelist in NYC & it was decent plenty of people, real convos, & a few hookups. Moved to a smaller city, and the activity is way lower. If you’re in a big metro, it’s worth trying. If you’re in the middle of nowhere… good luck.”

“I won’t lie there’s a lot of spam and time-wasters. But if you take your time and actually read between the lines, you can find real people. I met someone chill, but it took a few weeks of wading through nonsense. Not for the impatient, but it works if you’re willing to put in effort.”

“Tried Doublelist for casual dating, and wow… the ghosting is real. People reply, seem interested, then poof gone. I’ve met a couple of decent people, but you gotta send a lot of messages. Also, some posts are just… not what they claim to be. Use common sense.”

“As a queer person, mainstream dating apps can feel limiting. Doublelist has been a decent alternative, but it’s hit or miss. Some genuinely cool people, but also some weirdos & flaky folks. Biggest issue? Lots of spam and "services" ads. Stay sharp & block fast!”

“I liked CL personals back in the day, so I was happy to find Doublelist. It’s decent for casual meetups, but expect to refresh your ad a lot to stay visible. Also, some people just disappear mid-convo. That said, I’ve had a few fun meetups, so it’s not all bad!”
