“doublelist is way more laid-back than apps like tinder. people are upfront about what they want, which i love. ghosting still happens, but at least the convos start off honest. had a few weird messages, but nothing too bad. if you go in with an open mind, it’s a fun place to explore.”

“it’s nice to see a site with a decent lgbtq+ section, but the quality of conversations varies a lot. some great chats, some straight-up weirdos. ghosting is common, and some guys go from friendly to rude way too fast. it’s okay, but not my go-to.”

“doublelist is great for casual fun, but the experience depends on who you meet. lots of flaky people—ghosting is a constant thing. some guys get weirdly aggressive if you don’t reply fast enough, which is a red flag. i like that it’s easy to use, but they really need better moderation against harassment. not bad if you know what you’re doing, but don’t expect a smooth ride.”

“As someone in the LGBTQ+ community, I liked how open Doublelist was. It feels more like old-school classifieds, which is refreshing. But you do get your fair share of weird messages. Privacy settings exist, but blocking/reporting could be stronger. Also, if you don’t refresh often, your post disappears into the void. Still, I’ve had some great convos and a few solid meets!”

“Dating apps were exhausting swiping, ghosting, fake profiles. Then I tried Doublelist. It’s simple, to the point, and people actually talk. “The only logical reason for suddenly telling me that my profile was removed, is that you discriminate against Transgender people. I did not make any changes to my approved post. You have someone on your team that randomly deletes profiles? For what reason? I didn't make any changes.... You guys suck, I did read the terms, my post was approved, I didn't make any changes, then I receive an email that I was removed. You guys should be careful about discriminating against transgender people, this is very illegal i Canada. I will run this by my lawyer and I will copy and paste this message in a couple of reviews online. You guys will be held accountable for your discrimination!”

“If you don’t mind weeding through fake profiles, ghosters, and people who aren’t clear about what they want, Doublelist can work for you. I’ve had a few good connections, but I’ve also wasted time on conversations that went nowhere. Use with patience and common sense.”
