I found the selection of drivers to be very poor in the Bedford area, and the communication from driveJohnsons to be poor and sluggish. Unanswered emails, and drivers cancelling last minute very often. Wouldn't recommend. I think one of the cheaper options in the area but you get what you pay for. I'd recommend searching for an actual instructor based on reviews Vs allowing driveJohnsons to allocate you whoever.

quite possibly the rudest lady I've spoken to. do not use this firm you have a female, nervous driver they simply won't accommodate. absolutely terrible

In my experience, this company offers very poor communication, weak instruction, and no customer support. I completed 4 hours of driving with the instructor they assigned me and found the quality of teaching unhelpful and below what I would reasonably expect from a professional driving school. A crucial six-month validity limit on my 10-lesson block was not clearly shown at the time of purchase and was instead buried in lengthy terms and conditions. When I questioned this, they relied on a so-called text message about the expiry which I never received and which appears to have been sent to incorrectly recorded contact details. Rather than acknowledging any responsibility or offering flexibility, they chose to keep the money for my unused lessons, hiding behind unclear, misleading information and hidden terms. Between the poor quality of instruction and the way they handle customers once they’ve been paid, I would not recommend this company. There are so many other better driving schools out there who actually care about the success of their clients. STAY AWAY

Very disappointed with Drive Johnson's. My instructor prioritized money over my learning, and when I asked for support, the company refused to help, saying they couldn’t intervene because they weren’t in the vehicle! As a learner, you cannot rely on them for proper guidance or support.

This is doing the rounds on various fb groups. A driving school car with the Johnson name and an illegally spaced numberplate, which obviously raises serious questions as to the suitability of the instructor and the quality of instruction. ALSO the name spelt out on the mis-spaced registration plate doesn't match that of the instructor, suggesting the instructor is illegally subbing work out to non-ADI's.

Instructor had gone through manoeuvres and lessons lowly and repeatedly, been on his phone most times whilst driving. Said i need to do 5 lessons a week to drive (clearly milking me for money) We were working towards the test date he forgot and then told me to move it after i do a theory test renewal and that i can pay him to secure an earlier date. Spent 50+ hours and lost confidence of driving. I had one really good instructor before this who fell ill, who actually wanted me to pass but ended up with this horrible instructor who only saw money.

My son payed for lessons upfront company phoned on Friday said they had to cancel then rebook for following Tuesday then that Friday they cancelled again I asked for full refund don’t rely on this company they are not reliable go on trust pilot there reviews are shocking

Absolutely shocking company first lesson sat and waited no one turned up called them to ask what was going on so they said they would call me back, 2 hours later still nothing so called them again to be told don’t know why I didn’t get a call back and don’t know where the instructor is. Joke company avail at all cost!!!

I booked with Johnson's driving school in Milton Keynes. I did start with them, they gave me 2 hours a week.i did ask if i can do more courses a week, and he promise me to. After that, he didn't come for week, he was holiday. And after that 3 weeks didn't get me any slot. And i waste my time and my money with them.

I had a medical emergency with my daughter and gave my instructor 1:15 minutes advance notice of having to go to A&E. She was annoyed I had to go to A&E with my daughter and insisted on rescheduling for the same day whilst I would be at A&E and insisted the cancellation policy is 24 hours - no further option. I raised a complaint with DriveJohnsons with proof of A&E calls and Uber receipt but they refused to help further as its at the discretion of driving instructor. I lost £64 for a situation I couldn't control - no compassion whatsoever. Be careful with what you do here esp. if you are booked with Hatifa!

Appalling experience with driving instructor NAILA MANSOOR. Driving instructor to empty your pockets on lessons with no taught content. The instructor uses her phone during lessons, turns up late and doesn’t actually teach you anything; she wants to make a profit. I was not taught to complete cockpit checks, and the handbrake was always left down. How to do an emergency stop, moving away and stopping, safe positioning, mirrors (vision and use), anticipation and planning including MSM and PSL routines, how to use junctions, crossroads and slip roads. How to use rounadabouts safely and confidently as she would just grab the wheel or abruptly press the brake if I was in the wrong lane. I was not taught any of the manoeuvres including reversing and turning the car around. I was supposedly taught a parallel park but she lost temper after two attempts saying to leave this for another day. I could go on about the beyond poor experience. Customer service initially responded to my complaint but then allow Naila to make inadequate excuses which just proves I will not be the last pupil to suffer from poor experience and be out of pocket. “Helping pupils to learn to drive safely and pass fast is our speciality” clearly not. Avoid at all costs.

I had been taking lessons from drive Johnson winchester since last 3-4 months in automatic car. I took around 12 hours lesson. My instructor name is Juraj. As I have 5 years of driving experience from India, I can drive any type of car and know the lane discipline very well. Initial review of Juraj for me You just need couple of lessons then you are ready for the test. After 4 lessons, he was like you need 2 more lessons and you are ready for the test and he never let me drive on roundabout. He was keep saying you are great driver. One unusual behaviour I noticed, he always pressurise you a lot and made you think you literally don’t know anything, this makes him not a good instructor. He always talk about other things like running cars values, building.. which is not required at all and divert the mind of learner. At last when I was away 1 week from the booked test date. I forced him and told, I need lessons around roundabout. He started, saying you can learn it very well in 2 lessons However, After completing 2 lessons. He asked me to book 10 more lessons to learn about it. I was ready to take 4 more lessons but he said no you need 10 lessons, cancel your test, I won’t give you my car for test. I needed my license on the given date because my wife is pregnant and wanted to take care her. Please don’t take lessons from him. He will keep pressurising you to take more and more lessons and you won’t learn anything as well.

My daughter has done 20hrs of driving! Hasn’t come out of 3rd gear, hasn’t reversed, hasn’t bay parked, hasn’t parallel parked, hasn’t done an emergency stop, no merging, no country Rds, no a5 no 3 or 5 point turns and has only used magic rd abouts an absolute joke I will not be recommending to anyone!

Booked an intensive driving course . They called to say there is a delay with the car. They delayed the first lesson for 2 months with various excuses and then told me there is no driving instructor available .

Worst company I have ever come across money money never turn up when should not even a call to cancel my daughter got test Tuesday her instructor never turned up for her last lesson got another instructor told her she was not ready for test pay us another 250 maybe be ready for Tuesday what the hell phoned drive Johnson head office sorry what can we to my daughter has two hour lesson with this company spend thousands with them don’t ever use them

TOTALLY UNRELIABLE DRIVING INSTRUCTOR! THE COMPANY DOESN’T KNOW WHO WORKS FOR THEM OR WHO THEY EMPLOY, LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM! THEY WILL STRING YOU ALONG FOR 30+ LESSONS AND THEN ONCE YOU BOOK YOUR TEST THEY DROP YOU BEING VERY ARROGANT AND RUDE THINKING THEY KNOW BEST LEAVING YOU WITH NO CAR OR INSTRUCTOR. THE COMPANY DOESN’T HAVE THE INSTRUCTOR ON THEIR SYSTEM AND ARE UTTER USELESS WHEN DEALING WITH COMPLAINTS. THE INSTRUCTOR ISNT WHO HE SAYS HE IS!!!!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

They took money for 10 hours. Drivers kept cancelling, kept not sowing up. In the end when i asked for a refund for my remaining hours, they refused to give me back my money. supervisor was absolutely USELESS. she hung up on me and wouldn't listen to my issues on the phone. they steal your money and have very unprofessional and bad teachers. DODGY. avoid. ALSO, they dont refund your money.

Please avoid DrirveJohnson’s who are unprofessional and just outright dodgy. I paid in advance for 10 lessons. My driving instructor said inappropriate things and was either late or never showed up for agreed appointments. I decided to cancel my remaining lessons and requested a refund for them. DriveJohnson’s refused me a refund saying that their instructors are self employed and advised me that since starting my lessons my instructor no longer works for the company and therefore they cannot give me a refund. This has left me out of pocket by over £150. They should be ashamed of themselves.
