““Our experience with Africa Wild Safaris was more than satisfactory. We rarely use tour operators for our international adventures, but Africa seemed different. I originally thought we would pay for the convenience of having the details taken cared of by a professional company as a treat to myself. Little did I know how their knowledge of the visitor system and the visa application process would save us many times over as I bumped into problems getting things done! Fridah and her team took care of so many details that we would have definitely not known about. They took such good care of us starting before we boarded our plane and right after the moment we landed in Nairobi. Someone was right there when we walked into the airport terminal to explain the arrival process. Someone was right there when we needed to leave for other destinations at the airport and walked us through many of security gates and check points. We took many bush planes on this trip and these planes had last minute schedule changes. Fridah and her team was always there with a quick text message answer to any of our questions! It was wonderful! The local point of contact person would greet us as we arrived at an airport and walk us through the arrival process. Sounds simple but it was quite different than other places around the world that we have visited, places like Asia, Europe, and even in South America. This arrival and departure process was different in every country and became a bit more complicated with the recent outbreak of Ebola in the DRC and Uganda. Having someone who knew who we were and take care of details in a timely fashion was amazing. At one airport someone found us as we entered the building. We followed the rest of the airplane passengers but our contact person told us to just have a seat, took our papers and checked bags and ran it through the system without us having to stand in a very long line in the hot sun as the rest of the disembarking passengers did. They returned with everything taken cared of except for the passport approval. Then they walked us to the passport window to finalize our arrival. Again, it was more than wonderful. In addition to all of the help we had along the way, the attititude of Fridah and her coworkers was always one of being as helpful as possible, efficient as possible, and always professional. Our transport vehicles were always impressive; large and comfortable and clean. Originally, we thought it was a bit of an expense to go through a travel company to arrange our trip. In the end, we found that it was more than worth it, especially because of the efficient and professional help they provided. It made all the difference for us. It was a wonderful trip.””
“The trip was like a National Geographic or Discovery Channel show. We got to see everything you imagine to see on this trip. The gorilla trekking was super! The Safari's were private and super. We saw three river crossings. The week at Zanzibar in comfort on the beach was a great way to end the trip.

“We just got back from a 3 week trip to Kenya and Tanzania and we loved every minute of it. We worked with Alyza and she planned EVERYTHING. I was nervous about taking the kids (7 and 9) on Safari because there is no way I would have been able to plan a trip like this on my own. It’s impossible to know whether the hotel is any good or whether the water was safe or whether you’re getting ripped off. We actually met a few families during our travelling and swapped stories. As it turns out, we ended up paying way less but getting the much more out of our trip (stay quality, food quality, safari guides, experiences)!
Every transfer, every flight, every stay, every experience and every meal was fantastic. We never felt overloaded, overcrowded or underserved. There were times when border crossings and customs got annoying but we were warned in advance and Alyza always made sure we had a guide or escort with us during the complicated bits.
