“not a real company --biggest scammer
Shocking terrible and scammers run by Andrew fisher. He has over 100 google business profiles to scam people.
Dont use ecu express. He is jealous of other competitors and try to bring them down via reviews.
he know nothing about repair all he does is buy second hand off eBay and clone them
Giving proper companies a bad name.
USE BCMRepair”
“DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY
Returned the ECU (within 24hrs) as had discovered the problem was something else. Has refused to refund my money despite continuous communication and is now also in possession of the item - theft. No T&Cs which is illegal and clearly doesn't even understand the statutory rights of a customer. AVOID like the plague and just go to one of their competitors.”
“Utter joke, explained the issue with my ECU they insisted they could fix it, cost me £10 to ship it, then they said they couldn't fix it but told me they could clone it if I bought another so I did and ship them for £10, then they said they couldn't clone it but could check the replacement over for £40. They said it was good but when I got it back it was still not working, A total waste of £60, I would not recommend them.”
“We sent a ECU to them to be repaired due to water damage. It cost £350 for ait to be fixed. We were told to plug it back in and it would work. It didn't and told them so. He was beyond rude and said he never has any problems with his work. Two garages said the ECU was faulty after he had fixed it.
Avoid this company as just interested in getting your money and tough if it doesn't work.”
“After confirming the problem with an auto electrician. The ECU was sent to ECU Express. Car now runs like a dream. Would definitely recommend. Fantastic communication from start and speedy response. Very happy with the price. 👍”
“BCM on ford ranger code U1000 sent it off to these guys, 4 days from posting the BCM was back in our hands and so far is working like a dream, very speedy service and the guy kept in touch throughout. I am one happy lady my truck is back in working order”
“This company overcharged me from the advertised price of £325 and charged me £400. After receiving the ECU back it did not solve my issue it was returned for a second time and still not worked. I was offered a partial refund of £200 from the trader and he is now ignoring all my messages. I have been left with no option but to leave this review and I have also contacted trading standards.”
“This was 4 years ago but ive just read these now unfortunately. I wish I had read these reviews first. They work out of a Store it all lock up; dodgy in itself.
They charge you just to look at the ECU then give it back saying its unfixable. I don't think they even look at them; just an easy £60 for doing nothing.
Specialist that did fix my ECU (Audi 3.0 Tdi A5) said they are well known and to give them a wide berth.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE RUDE, UNCOMMUNICATIVE AND BASICALLY A COMPLETE SCAM.”
“Charged for a cloned ecu £175 arrived open screws hanging out of it to be told nothing wrong with my original so why not send it back?
Customer service is shocking steer clear of this company how they are still in business is beyond me”
“Sent an EDU unit for fault diagnostic check, they received it at 8 am and bye 8.50am received a text to say job finished would send back on receipt of payment £150. Refitted to van only to be told fault codes still appearing. Text then called #rse express only to be told sent a replacement unit so we didn’t know if the original unit was causing the problem, or was even faulty On their website send for test if no problem found only cost of return post necessary, called and spoke to someone on 07479535866. Was abruptly told must be the ECU, text back can you repair the reply no not that one. No futher forward stay clear of these i@ots.”
“My best piece of advice: STAY AWAY. There is not one good thing, starting from actual work completed, customer service, or reliability. I rang to enquire and was met with a direct quote saying 'send it, pay for postage, we'll sort it', no interest in the actual issue, and all of it over text, because no one ever picks up the phone. Anyway, they ignored several of my texts/calls when I was trying to get more info on progress and what would happen if the unit didn't work after their 'repair', but got nothing; when it came to payment though, they pestered my mechanic every 20 mins with texts. Anyway, unsurprisingly the issue came back immediately after install of the unit, to which I called, no answer, texted, eventually someone called me and was very rude saying it was my issue, and clearly I had misdiagnosed - I have had three very experienced mechanics tell me the ECU was the issue; when I tried to explain that, the guy just cut me off, said 'get your mechanic to call me'. Apparently they requested the unit to be sent back so they can send another - but I was unhappy with the outcome, because what is the guarantee, especially after dodgy communication and no diagnosis on their behalf? So I asked what the process was for a refund - they refused to call me, started sending rude text messages, basically the worst service I have ever had. All in all, there is no process for complaint, no process for refund, it was not clear anywhere whether or not there was any guarantee the work would be done... And on top of all of that, I had to ask to be sent an invoice, so clearly that is also not usual practice. Avoid at all costs, not worth the hassle.”
“Don’t waste your money or time still waiting for my ecu to be returned. Wish I read reviews before sending had a bad feeling from moment I sent. They are very prompt asking for money that’s all”
“Bought a computer box from ecu express for R7000 which wasn't working at all. This guy's can lie, and they will never refund you at all. Run from this company they are very bad with poor service.”
“So this is my experience of ECU Express. I first entered a search for ecu repair in my local city. They appeared and their website looked very professional, a clever use of search keywords as there is no ecu express in my city. I messaged them and got a text reply with the service they offered. I telephoned them and the gentleman said I needed to get it to him before Tuesday as he is going abroad on Holiday for two weeks. I sent it immediately and it arrived the Friday before. Payment of £60 was requested, I paid immediately. I got a call on the Monday saying that my ecu was not repairable and he suggested I buy another one to clone. I decided to look into that. So it soon became apparent that these are upwards of £200 with no assurance that they are in good order, then there would be further unknown costs to clone. It was all too risky for me. I decided to wait till after he returned from holiday and have him return my ecu. I texted him asking him to contact me when he is next available. He returned from Holiday on the 5th Oct. I waited till the 16th Oct as I thought he would have to quarantine returning from this country. I then rang asking him to return the ECU. It then took a further 5 calls and 3 texts to finally get the man to return my ECU, I received it on the 28th Oct.
My assessment of events is that;
I received no test report.
I received no invoice
I have no way of knowing if the ecu was ever tested or even opened up.
I feel a service should be offered where they source and supply a unit to clone and quote for that accordingly, not to put the responsibility on the customer.
He told me he doesn't do the testing but he has to pay another firm to do the testing.
I hope this helps you make a decision before sending your money into this gentleman's holiday fund.”
“Wish I’d have researched this company before spending £60 . I feel he takes your money easily to tell you it can’t be repaired.
I don’t think it is a professional outfit , collecting my part no written report came explaining in writing what the issues are .
Will not be using this again .
Have found reviews else where that also are not good .”
