“We were addicted to Pukka pies - until recently. There is hardly any filling now - not even gravy. Obviously at the price, not much meal was expected but three or four tiny pieces of chicken was a disappointment. The shell of the pastry was left.
Shame. I won't risk one again.”
“If you like bland nondescript flavours this is up your street nothing wrong with overall presentation pastry wise, the filling in the Chicken and Mushroom pie, I had looked like baby food, small pieces of Chicken and a pulpy almost wallpaper paste texture. Cooked well good size but like something from the 1960's.”
“My review is on the new Pukka Pasty I saw in my local Tesco. As the pies are generally pretty good I thought I'd try the pasties.
The experience was was not good at all. It said ready "heat or eat" on the packet so I heated it for 15 minutes. It was horrible a bit mashed I guess for quickness of processing but the potatoes was hard even after heating it up so it was hot right trough. I tried later the other one cold of course the potato was like bullets. I sent my contact details to them and filled the form in with barcode details etc, no details could be put in but it said I would be contacted soon. That was 4th March sent. And nothing has come back from them
Terrible customer service and terrible pasties!”
“If you like a pie with a tasty thick sauce, but with minimal filling then pukka pies are for you. A steak pie should have decent pieces of steak in it, not just the sauce and pastry.”
