“spreadsheets are not very user friendly
not easy to find a specific variable if not already on the standard spreadsheets
customer service is poor and takes very long to get a response
not much in depth commentary is provided with forecasts”
HI Nazanin, thanks a lot for your review and feedback. We are currently reviewing access to our tools and how we could improve user experience in order to make the tools more user friendly. We will shortly be holding a number of user groups with our clients in order to understand where we can improve, and your input would be critical to making our service better. We'd be absolutely delighted if you joined us for one of the groups.I will ask an account manager to follow up once the dates are confirmed.
Kindest Regards, Tony
“I wonder if the report would benefit from an overview of construction generally. It tends to go from a view of the economy straight to an analysis of the construction sector by work type. A couple of paragraphs surmising construction overall would be good.
Data behind the graph - see Bank of England - would be helpful. I have to distil the report for the board, and it would just save work.
One more - You could allow yourself to be a little more free in you comments. Given the detailed work that's gone into it, well founded opinion - clearly marked as such - would be valued.
But, thank you. It's a great report.”
Dear Adrian,
Many thanks for your feedback on the Construction Forecasts report. It is invaluable for us to understand what you find useful about it and what can be improved. I would probably agree that a bit more of an overview of construction as a whole wouldn’t go amiss. The current format has sort of developed as a response to feedback that most were interested in the disaggregation but that shouldn’t mean that we neglect the overall picture. On your second point, we are moving to a position to supply the data in excel format. In the past it hasn’t been set up in a particularly user-friendly format but we are working on this. Whether user-friendly versions will be ready for the next edition I’m not sure yet. Given the input of those on our committees, we have always been a little wary about being too opinionated in our commentary, but I’ll review whether we have maybe become a bit bland in the light of your comments.
Kind regards,
James
