“FWD, terrible costumer service and policies
I received my neoprene fabric from FWD, and it arrived in terrible condition. It had a large stain and deep creases running horizontally, vertically, and diagonally, making it completely unusable. Apparently, anything under a certain yardage is shipped folded, but there’s no notice or option to upgrade shipping during checkout. As a result, the neoprene was folded and crammed into a box.
When I requested a replacement in good condition, they asked me to send more money. Seriously? I’ve now filed a dispute with my credit card company over the original charges.

“If you are thinking about buying from this site, run in the other direction. This is by far some of the worst customer service and experience I have ever had shopping online, and shop online regularly. I bought material from this company because I thought the low price was good, but I ended up paying more for the fabric in the long run than I would have from so many other sites.
I ordered vinyl from this site, and paid nearly the same price for shipping as the cost of the vinyl. The company sent it boxed rather than on a roll, and it arrived irreversibly damaged due to colour fading and creasing. Any shopper would reasonably assume that part of the shipping cost would go to ensuring the shipping method didn't damage the products ordered.
I ordered 8 yards. Apparently anything under 10 yards is sent folded. There is no notice at checkout about them folding the vinyl and no option to upgrade shipping so fabric isn't sent folded. Anyone who's ever worked with vinyl knows you shouldn't fold it.
Customer service was completely useless. They insisted that the small print at the bottom on the listing of the vinyl excused them from the reasonable expectation that goods be delivered undamaged.
Despite the fact that the product arrived damaged, I was expected to pay return shipping after already having paid for shipping once. The company wasn't willing to do anything to correct the damage in the material. They expected me to pay return shipping, place a new order with them and pay for shipping on a second order, having me pay for shipping three separate times to the same company before I got undamaged goods.
I emailed back and forth with customer service for a week before realizing this company doesn't care about their customers. To save anyone else this horrible experience I wrote this review.
Try any other store. This company does not care about their customers. They have horrible policies, and do not care if their shipping methods cause damage.”
“These people have a wide variety of fabrics at amazing prices! I love to sew, and they are my "go to" for fabrics. I only once had a problem, and they swiftly refunded my money and didn't even want that piece of fabric back. They are quick to ship. Warning: if you sew, these people can be hard on the budget--you'll see lots to like. I now have to discipline myself to finish making up what I've got before ordering more. Thought you'd like to hear about someone doing a GOOD job! The 5 day delivery time is average. BTW: I find a number of seasoned seamstresses know about these people--others should know!”
