“I have been getting meat from Farmison for some time now - I think the ethos behind the breeding and animal husbandry is excellent, and the approach towards farming and quality has made me take a quality not quantity attitude towards meat our diet. I am more comfortable knowing the farm, farmer and animal itself are fairly local to me and can be easily traced. When I had a somewhat ambitious project lined up I was confident that Farmisons could supply what I needed - a 4kg single piece of brisket to cure and smoke. I did it and it was magnificent (Aberdeen Angus was the breed). I also got it at a brilliant price. It took 18 hours to smoke and I divided it into 4. There was hardly any shrinkage and it was so tender it could be cut with a fork. I will be taking this new venture a bit further (pork next), I am so confident (and it could all have gone wrong).”

“l have had several orders now and the meat is exceptional, especially the bacon. The pork pie l can recommend and cooking the last stage at home makes it taste homemade. The lamb shanks were a perfect size and when cooked long and slow the meat fell off the bone. For my cooking style the farmer does 98% of the work. My 2% contribution can make something memorable or ruin the offering. The meat is well worth the extra cost and luckily l love using the cheaper cuts but do buy premium cuts for celebratory meals. l like to think l am supporting UK farmers and the animals are well cared for and enjoy a natural existance for their life span.”

“My initial experience with Farmison was brilliant hence the repeat visit. However, I speak as I find and my last two experiences have not been good with damaged packaging ( Burgers ) that expired eairly due to poor packaging. This coupled with purchases that we not in stock but still invoiced and paid, I feel buying online has limitations ….”
