“From the initial consultation, I realised this trip was going to be different simply because of Paul’s extensive knowledge and his team reached out, asking about my preferences—from the type of activities I enjoyed to visiting breath taking scenery and landscapes and even my preferred style of accommodation. This personal touch set the tone for what would be an effortlessly smooth and tailored experience. Before I knew it, I had a custom itinerary in hand, promising a journey filled with adventure and luxury. Well done Fitzroy travel. Patrick”

“The trip to Kenya was fantastic. Paul Calcutt was our agent and he put together our itinerary and it was fabulous. He was very thorough, informative, friendly and took the time to listen to our needs. The intinerary he did was very professionally done. The booklet with our names and photos will be cherished and remind us of the great memories. Thank you Paul and everyone involved in giving us this awesome trip we will never forget.”

“This was a top notch experience for us. Though we had familarity with the region, Fitzroy made everything smooth and we always felt taken care of. We were traveling with two other families and the kid ages ranged from 4 to 16. Fitzroy had solutions and ideas for how to make our trip work and they followed through perfectly at every point. They were attentive and warm all along the way. They really listened to us to try to tailor the trip to our needs and vision rather than steering us in directions that were more convenient for them. Whether it's your first time or 100th time to the area, you will be in good hands with Fitzroy.”

“I have been on 3 trips with Fitzroy Travel and specifically Paul Callicutt as agent and once as also along on the trip. All 3 trips have been as smooth as can be - Ethiopia, Zimbabwee and Kenya most recently. Paul has taken the time to ask about my companions and my priorities and then has Listened - and done an excellent job of implementing what we preferred as well as those special touches we did not even know we wanted..., This ranges from the level of the camp/lodge and it's service, to our primary interests - whether game viewing or history and culture or some combination there of... My sister taught history for many years and was dazzled by our guide at Victoria Falls and tales of Stanley and livisngston and later with an expert on cave art in the southern part of the country as well as excellent game viewing. With the pressures of air travel these days, it is a pleasiure to know once on ground at your destination you can stop worrying - the teams on the ground have always been there, always helpful and gotten us where we need to be when we needed to be there!! Like a trusted car mechanic, a travel pro you can trust is a GEM!!”

“My family and I had an incredible time on our safari in Kenya, thanks to Fitzroy's fantastic service from start to finish. We're glad Paul convinced us to get out of our collective comfort zone and arranged a three-night hike through the hills, guided by Maasai, which proved to be the highlight of our trip. We're very happy to recommend Paul and Fitzroy Travel who were very professional and personal throughout.”

“Paul is AMAZING! He helped craft the perfect African adventure for our family. Paul made the process much more fun than searching all the options by ourselves and he did it with such grace and poise. We never would have found the lodges he recommended and they were fabulous. “I have booked nearly 15 safari trips with Paul and Fitzroy. Never once has he missed the mark and the few times i have felt a need to change/discuss itinerary, even mid trip he is both kind and quick to action. I’d give 10 stars had it been an option.”

“In February 2023 I used Fitzroy to help arrange a trip to Tanzania and trek to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro. I cannot speak highly enough of Fitzroy, the team and Paul, for the help provided. Experienced in travel around Africa, Paul was a great help in planning, providing guidance and invaluable local knowledge. It was a great trip made easier by the support from Fitzroy. “We are avid travelers and have alternated between self-planning and travel companies for our trips. Fitzroy was outstanding in every way. In the early planning stages Paul spent considerable time with each of us learning what we wanted out of the trip, tailoring our itinerary and guide accordingly. Everything was seamless from our arrival at Maun airport to our return. At the time we needed a Covid test to return home and Fitzroy arranged for a nurse to be flown to our location in the bush to ensure no time was lost on Safari. Incredible staff and attention to detail. I cannot recommend Fitzroy highly enough.”

“Our family engaged Fitzroy Travel to plan our trip to Sudan. Fitroy's Director, Paul Callcutt reached out to us to understand our family travel style and our expectations. Working with that knowledge, Fitzroy designed an expedition for our family to Sudan that was simply spectacular. Leading up to our travel dates, Paul regularly reached out to give us updates and assist in our preparations for the trip and to accommodate a last-minute flight change. Once in Sudan, the staff we worked with were knowledgeable and efficient. The guide, drivers and cook all were personable and made everything about our trip go smoothly. In Sudan, the people were very welcoming; the archeological sites were fascinating (and devoid of other tourists!); and the scenery was spectacular. We capped off our trip with a four-day sail on the Red Sea with Caption Jack and I cannot recommend that experience enough. Paul from Fitzroy reached out after our return to make sure everything went well and to get insight into how he could make the trip better for the next travelers. Overall, our experience with Fitzroy was excellent.”

“I booked my 11-day desert camping trip to Sudan with Fitzroy Travel more than a year before the scheduled departure, so I had plenty of time to imagine what it was going to be like. From the moment I stepped off the plane and met Paul, then traveled to our hotel to meet my fellow travelers, I knew that this trip was going to be nothing short of magical! Because of the rugged nature of the terrain, and the uncertainty of what may unfold each day, this type of trip is one where you must embrace the wonder of what happens next. But I knew that no matter what the day would bring, Paul and the team of local guides supporting us would make everything work perfectly! The combination of sites we visited, spectacular camping sites in the Bayuda Desert, and the small group of travelers by my side made this a trip I will remember for a lifetime! I can't wait for my next adventure with Fitzroy Travel.”
