“I've given 3 stars just because I didn't necessarily have a bad experience for the year I was insured by them however when it came to my renewal, they increased the price even though I hadn't made a claim. I shopped online for quotes and found several cheaper quotes so I decided to cancel the renewal. This is where the problem started, I tried to call Ford Insure multiple times but 'the lines are busier than usual' ok, fine, I'll look online for another way to cancel... apparently that's IMPOSSIBLE. I searched high and low for an email address and looked on the portal which also has no other way of cancelling except calling them and wasting the little free time that you get to yourself. I decided in the end to just cancel my direct debit on my bank, I thought this would cause them to call me eventually.... no, they sent me a letter about no DD being set up and that it could affect my credit score etc bla bla bla. In the end I had to call them and just wait whilst gritting my teeth. This was incredibly frustrating! PLEASE GIVE US ANOTHER WAY OF CANCELLING. I'm a fair person so what I will say is that I had a windscreen replacement which was incredibly easy to sort through the portal and when I eventually got through on the phone to cancel my renewal the lady way friendly so I went easy as none of it is her fault. I have received my cancellation letter and NCB certificate within a day or two. :)”
“Avoid this company they didn't take out my direct debit last month so I agreed to double pay this month now they are asking for £700 for a missed payment which was there mistake none of the agents are helpful either absolutely disgusting!!!!”

“Had a Ford Focus RS insured with them. When the policy came up for renewal it went up by 30% although I have over 30 years no claims bonus and am a driver trainer by trade.
I changed my car to a Mercedes A200d and was told the price stays the same with 7 months left on it. The RS is group 40/40 and the Mercedes is a group 18/40. How can this be?
Cancelled my misses' policy and I've been told £484 would be returned to my bank. A full week later I am still waiting.
And to make things worse, they charge £25 to ammend your policy.
Even with multi-car, the quote is far more expensive than insuring the cars elsewhere separately.”
“NEVER again will i go with this company. Had a crash in december and then they cancelled my policy, had the car repaired and the policy reinstated. All was well until i placed a cancellation as i was in a financial difficult situation. I rang up 2 days later to stop the cancellation as i had been given financial support of my parents so i didnt need the policy cancelled. They then proceeded to tell me that id have to pay £480 rest of the years premium and then pay monthly for my insurance ASWELL if i wanted to reinstate!!!! Absolute joke of a company”

Had an email saying that there was a discretion on when I bought this car? 2018 I thought but it was 2019. No baring on the policy!? I have been charged over £30 for this! In a world where everyone should be helping each other, this insurance company seems to be looking at ways to charge for more! Unbelievable!

Hit from behind, not my fault. But offer on my written off car much lower than I paid 30 days previously, refused to consider national adverts for same model despite insurance ombudsman stating they should.
I’m now stressed and very out of pocket following no fault accident.”
“Recently had a policy cancelled by this provider without notice and was charged £60 (i received the letters requesting additional paperwork 2 days after it was cancelled). The customer support team were un helpfull and unwilling to accept that the post had not arrived yet (mid-covid). In the words of their manager "this was my problem not theirs".
I would strongly advise against using them.”

Our claim was promptly settled and enabled us to buy an equivalent replacement car. When we contacted the team to insure our replacement they offered us a really great price.
