“A small plan but one which is for long term savings which I hope will be enough to give my kids something to ease my passing. Nice to be part of a traditional Friendly Society. Not yet applied or requested any member benefits but nice to know you have access to this unique support.”

“I took out a lifetime ISA with Foresters Friendly Society. I found the setting up of the account easy online and the appropriate paperwork arrived shortly after opening my account. I receive a letter every April (every tax year) with the amount in my account. My only wish would be a summary statement of the total amount I’ve deposited into the account every year up until the date the letter is sent. For example: 2018 amount deposited, 2019 amount deposited etc. This would allow me to assess how much I have contributed compared to previous years. Other than that, the online and phone call service is excellent.”

“Foresters Friendly society is made up of a network of members grouped into local social 'courts' groups each shepherded by officers and a accessible secretary and a HQ commercial operation providing investments intwined with life insurance for those of us on modest means through to bonds starting at £5000. I never receive correspondence about the performance of the actual products I took out or confirmation after acc opening of funds arriving but reading between the lack of mention of this in materials and customer services lack of a answer, believe this happens once a year in July after some pooled actuarial process.”

“The staff are friendly and was simple to set up. Generally a good society but my one complaint is that there is a big need to modernise and add a app at the very least. If there was an ability to see your account balance online and do payments online I would be more than willing contribute more. Other than that, keep up with your great work. A lot of potential.”

It is currently possible to make one off payments online to top up an existing an ISA, Junior ISA, Lifetime ISA or Child Trust find, all accessible from the product pages. We do know online account access is something our members have expressed an interest in and it is something we are absolutely looking into. “Very easy to apply and set up the ISA. I would like to be able to check my ISA online though rather than having to phone. Would be nice to see how it’s doing, especially during this very uncertain time.”
