Please avoid this company. You can see the trend below. Post delivery - terrible customer service, false promises, not replying to the emails- both directly or via the website. Appalling. Even now they answer the new booking line straight away but you are kept on hold for 30 min to speak to customer service.

No answer to my request for a refund ( over a week now )...and why do I want to cancel? My chair I've purchased, delivery date set for four days later, will now be with me seven weeks later. Tried to phone, and completely pointless. Promised a call back. Never happened.. Still sending ads into my emails though!?!

Avoid this company at all costs! I am a genuine customer and sick of being fobbed around. Delivery dates missed on multiple occassions. Refunds promised, but not yet given. On hold for almost an hour to speak to an agent, but if you select as a new customer you go straight through! Save yourself and deal with another reputable business.

Customer service is completely useless. I have ordered a office chair in Dec 2020, now Feb 2021 still did not receive the chair. Order no ORD0460729. I asked for refund, they are not giving the refund, just wasting my time. Many times I spoke to them, still did not receive the refund. Very very disappointed. Will never recommend anyone.

The reviews below are all true, I wish I had read them before buying anything. This company is RUBBISH, stay away! Customer service is only interested in new orders, exchanges - refunds...forget about it.

Avoid avoid avoid.Very bad company. No goods are in stock. When chased on phone regarding orders they say coming after a month. Don't even email a cancellation confirmation. No refunds processed. Had to claim it via my bank. Another company Furniture online delivered it the next day.

This is a scam company. Be aware that if you order from this company, there will be only two outcomes : 1. The goods won't arrive and you'll be left chasing a refund. 2. The goods arrive AFTER the specified date and are faulty. There is no outcome other than these ^^^. Be warned.

CON MEN! AVOID AT ALL COSTS & SHOP ELSEWHERE. I wish I had. Abysmal. Hands down the worst company I have ever made the mistake of handing money over to. Poor products, appallingly non-existent customer service, entirely indifferent to customer experience or feedback. Purchased a chair for home-working. Paid for express delivery. Chair delivered almost 2wks beyond expected express delivery date & well beyond their own time frames for standard delivery. No communication to advise me of this. Had to chase for update - even then it was as though they were doing me a favour. Chair delivered finally, tried to assemble it a few days later. Screw hole in seat was defective, so chair cannot be used as seat is not secure. Tried several time to call, on hold each time 45 mins plus. No callbacks despite using call back service. Took photos of issue including close-up, explaining problem and emailed to customer services requesting assistance. Almost 3 wks on and no acknowledgement, let alone response. Re-sent, asking for escalation to directors and chief executive. Still radio silence. Astounding that in these hard times, there are businesses that are so entirely lacking in astuteness or care for your service. I deeply regret bothering with this bunch of con men. I've paid over £80 for a defective chair which is unsafe to use, as well as express delivery charges (said service was never met so this charge as a minimum should have been refunded to me) and have received not an ounce of courtesy despite several emails flagging up the problem. Resorted to posting a message requesting contact on their facebook page only to later discover they had changed their settings to prevent people from commenting. How pathetic! Clearly this is a common issue for them. I'm amazed this company is still in business. At this rate, it won't be long before they go under. With so much competition, why shop with dishonest charlatans? The problem with their disregard is that they overlook the old adage - you get good service, you tell a friend or two. You get bad service, you tell everyone you know. This shoddy outfit falls well and truly into the latter category. I will share my experience with everyone I know to ensure they don't spend a penny with the shambles that is Furniture At Work!

The worst supplier experience you will ever have! Ordered a large amount of furniture of which only a few items were delivered only to be told after the remainder was out of stock. From that point this company ceased communication to the point we had to initiate a chargeback weeks later in order to get our money back for the items not delivered. After the chargeback was complete the company started sending us emails from their debt collection department claiming we owe them money for items already refunded and never received. Persistent bunch of scammers! Do not waste your time (and sanity) dealing with these cowboys!

Elements of the numerous other bad reviews are echoed in my experience i.e. significant delays in delivery, inability to contact customer service, no responses from the company to emails/voicemails/online contact forms, no proactive and certainly no honest communication of what is actually going on. The truth seems to be that despite the messaging on the website, there is little/no stock availability, you won’t get your item assembled and you will struggle getting all or partial refunds if you are not willing to wait for the delayed item. I want to give Greg in customer service some positive feedback though as he was the only person who offered a life-line and seemed genuinely apologetic. Nevertheless, I suspect his hands are tied and I will never see the partial refund that was promised. All in all a very stressful, time-consuming experience and I am left feeling very disappointed. I also feel very sad for all the other hundreds/thousands of customers in the same position who are suffering with no information and no signs of a positive outcome. I would recommend that you shop elsewhere using a company with more integrity and honesty. My experience: • Order placed for Cream Skye Executive Chair on 29th May with Furniture at Work. £86+VAT for item. Plus £20+VAT for assembly. Delivery expected in two weeks. • Two weeks later, email received from Furniture at Work Customer Service to indicate a delay and that the new delivery date would be Friday 26th June. Telephoned Customer Service who confirmed this. • Friday 26th June. Telephoned Customer Service to check that the item was due for delivery today. Told that there was nothing on the system to indicate any delay and that they would check with the warehouse and if any problems I would be telephoned back. No further communication and no item received. • Monday 29th June. Telephoned Customer Service (held for 2*30minutes and then put through to voicemail service), emailed Customer Service, filled in online customer care form. No responses to email, voicemail or online form. Telephoned Customer Service at 5pm and after holding for 25minutes I did get to speak to someone. They said they were still waiting for an update from the Warehouse. • Tuesday 30th June. Further attempted calls, holding for 30muinutes before being cut off. Further emails. No responses. Telephoned Customer Service at 5pm and spoke with Greg. I raised concerns after reading all the negative online reviews for the company. Very apologetic. He said the same as per the previous day i.e. they were waiting for an update from their warehouse. I asked for the warehouse contact details and said I’d try calling them myself. • Called and emailed the warehouse (company called Eliza Tinsley). Open and honest dialogue with them with visibility of their order system and a clear explanation of the problem. There are 250 orders for my one specific item in “backorder” on their order system i.e. they are out of stock. Eliza Tinsley have repeatedly made Furniture at Work aware of this. I was lucky as there was one “free stock” item waiting allocation on the system and I got allocated to it. • Thursday 2nd July – after further communications with Eliza Tinsley confirming that the item was the same and in good repair, the item was received. The item was flat-packed and not assembled. Eliza Tinsley have made Furniture at Work aware that assembly for any order is not possible right now due to staff shortages and the Covid-19 pandemic. I accepted the flat-packed item. • Friday 3rd July – item successfully assembled. It was complete and in good repair. Contacted Furniture at Work to update them. Spoke to Greg again. I asked him for a partial refund for the assembly cost (£20+VAT). I was told this would be confirmed within 2-3 days and then the funds should be in my bank within 5 days of that. • Tuesday 7th June – sent email to Furniture at Work following up on this. No response. No refund. • Wednesday 15th June – 10 working days after being promised a partial refund I have had no communications from Furniture at Work and no refund has been received. The item is still available to buy on the website but the assembly option is not available to select which is something positive for the unsuspecting prospective customer.

0 STARS!! Ordered a chair to enable me to work from home at the start of May, a couple of weeks later I got an email saying they hadn't got it in stock but they would give me a free 'upgrade'! Luckily I asked them to send me details of the upgrade which was in no way an upgrade - it didn't have all the functions which I required so I rejected the upgrade and said I would wait for the original chair to come back in stock on 23 June. I have now been trying to contact them since that date to request an update and they do not answer any calls. A few people at work ordered from this company also and they have had to do charge back from their banks to reclaim their money as they couldn't get responses.

WARNING DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH FURNITURE AT WORK! YOU WILL BE LUCKY TO EVER GET YOUR MONEY BACK! YOU WILL NEVER RECEIVED WHAT YOU ORDERED! PLEASE ORDER FROM A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY WHO CARES FOR THERE CUSTOMERS! THEY ARE A SCAM!

If there was an option for no stars I would have put that! Absolute joke of a Company - I placed an order early April and its been one thing after another eventually resulting in a refund but they only refunded me HALF! They cant even issue the refund properly! I spent over £18 on phone calls to them ( yes they charge for getting customer enquiries) AVOID
