Another in the long line of Spanish based legal representation companies that will promise the world, and deliver absolutely nothing.
They play on the fact they claim to speak English ( which they do to a limit) and can navigate clients through the Spanish legal system.
I am sure they could, if they actually did anything. Good luck getting any reply to phone calls or emails.
A special mention for Dulce Illescas , who ended up being not quite so sweet as her name suggests.
Use a law firm/ company that someone trusted by you has used, not one who employs some English speakers.”
“If you want someone to represent you, do not hire these people. These people do not work in your best interests, completely unprofessional, especially Dulce and Monica. We terminated their services as they had not done as instructed, when we made phonecalls and an email to enquire about the money we were owed, we recieved an email, with an email thread attached between Monica and Dulce, talking about their own clients (us) making derogetory comments, biased opinions, furthermore and i quote "just tell them you've done the sums and they owe us money". I made an official complaint, which to this day has had no response. We have evidence of everything typed in this review.
Avoid like the plague, completely incompetent and unprofessional behaviour”
“Initially these lawyers seem brilliant then everything turns into a nightmare. Shocking communication, take zero responsibility for anything despite the fact that they are the lawyers and shocking standard of work. The contract that I finally managed to get from them for the sale of my house needs completely proof reading before I sign it. I now completely cannot trust them, they have €1200 of my money and I having to take more of my time to try to get my money back another way. There is literally too much to write here. Please please do not use these lawyers. I wish I’d thought to read the reviews but their website covered everything and looked great and they sounded great on the first phone conversation.”
“Beware of Dulce Illescas and Matt Rogerson from GB Abogados.
The website of the law firm seemed promising and I hired them to represent my interests regarding an off-plan property conveyance in Spain. However, after I had transferred the fee for their services, the communication ceased. My explicit email inquiries to Dulce Illescas and to Matt Rogerson regarding the legality of the project and the creditworthiness of the developing company received no response or feedback whatsoever. None of the legal searches (as specified in our Terms of Business) were conducted, none of my documents were reviewed.
Instead, I was astonished to receive the following note from Dulce Illescas: "... the deposit should be paid as soon as posible in order to get the property out of the market, because if she receives an offer from other potencial buyer, she will sale it."
I conclude that the professional competence of Dulce Illescas is as poor as her command of the English language. To say that her way of representing my interests in this case did not live up to my expectations is a major understatement. Consequently, I terminated her services and requested a refund.
Neither did Matt Rogerson account for the unearned fee, nor did he honour my claim for reimbursement.”
“I had a bad experience with Mr Jesus Sillero of gasconbernabeu abogados. He didn't act for me despite me phoning and emailing him many times to request that he take may law suit case to court against a former tenant. His customer service was appalling and he was arrogant. So In effect he was on of and acted for the guilty party.
I would definitely recommend that you don't have anything to do with Jesus Sillero and gasconbernabeu abogados.”
