It was so traumatizing and I couldn't talk to no one about it after this investors left me handicapped by taking my 25,00$ stopping me from withdrawal of my hard earned money. My search for redemption begins after a very close associate of mine told me about olive Recovery Specialist and I saw a lot of reviews myself and testimonies about them, finally reached out and to my greatest surprise what I thought was impossible became possible and mind blowing. Usage score goes down very quickly and it’s like I can’t drive my car anywhere like I drive to work and my usage score is going down.

Been with carrot for a couple of weeks threatened to cancel my insurance when there were no technicians available in my area to fit my black box had to go 2 days without my car whilst I left it elsewhere to be fitted, now struggling to upload my documents an they have been no help and just keep threatening to cancel my insurance.

Both the people I spoke to were lovely (Paul & Joe I believe) but I think the company is terrible. Having to cancel my policy just because I've moved house is entirely ridiculous, and offering a less than satisfactory refund after I've had 2 months out of a 12 month policy is disgraceful.

With it being an online insurer you can't call to discuss your policy, the live chat feature is terrible and has taken me over an hour to get through to someone everytime I have needed to make an update. I would rather be on hold

The live chat is terrible, if you get an issue you can only talk to a automated bot. Once you get to a question the not can't answer they leave you waiting ages for a response. Terrible way to run an insurance company in my opinion. I'd much rather be able to talk to someone over a phone call and fix issues quickly

The black box fitted to my car is never accurate, I will drive smoothly and to all of the speed limits, yet receive minus point. It is also a pain having to claim point in order to get rewards, this should just be automatic.

I have had an email saying I have a blocker on my blackboard and to contact the service line if that was not the case, so when in contact I was waiting 15-20 to be placed through to someone and all that was said to me afterwards was that carrot will be in contact with me over the issue, and currently a week later and no response has been sent to me over the issue.

Trying to communicate with carrot about anything even a simple renewal requests is time consuming and infuriating .. live chat 🤯😡 absolute nightmare, I’m actually preferring to pay more and renew with another company just so as never to have to try and communicate with carrot again. The carrot black box system is inaccurate, much worse than other companies, you’ll never get any rewards but plenty of emails questioning your driving so as not to give rewards and leaving you feeling your insurance could be at risk of cancellation.

customers are given a black box which records data including speed, smoothness (accelerating and braking) and usage (time spent driving). I have been a customer with carrot for about 9 months now and have constantly been given random poor usage scores even when i’m driving at normal hours. When i would try to contact someone at Carrot i would have to wait close to an hour before anyone answered my call, and the reasoning behind why my usage score has dropped wouldn’t make any sense as i had not done anything to make it poor, such as very long journeys with no breaks or late night driving. i would be given a poor score for driving even at 1pm in the afternoon. When you have a good weekly score you are given a reward of 500 points which is equivalent to £5, however if your score goes down so does the amount of points earned. Because of this unfair usage score i have not been able to collect this on many occasions and since nothing can be done about this, whether it be customer service or the box which gives unfair scores, i have given a poor rating on this company purely based on my user experience. Out of the black box provider companies, i would advise to avoid this insurer as you will constantly be annoyed at your score regardless of how well you have driven.

I went with this insurance company for my first car, and this policy was what I could afford at the time. I had an incident where I had to have my windscreen replaced due to the large crack, they were so unhelpful and their attitude on the phone to me when I needed help to get it replaced.. Iv cancelled my renewal for this policy and I am going with another company when the time comes!

Very hard to renew Have to go through chat It’s very slow and clunky Hours of opening limited It’s like they don’t want you to renew

This insurance seems to be a very new company in the way it works. Its very hard to actually speak with a human regarding most subjects. Most things are covered by online contact which is great when it is manned and run properly. Some subjects someone will contact you via email after a few days which is just not helpful when you want an answer straight away. The app had a tendency to stop working on more than one occasion but it did provide me with many tears so seemed to be recording their end. The app is not easy to transfer over to new phones so beware. I would not recommend a phone app a black box is alot easier.

Not open on sundays so you can’t change vehicle or get anything done on that day. Cheaper quotes elsewhere. Very expensive for extra miles on blackbox

Can only contact carrot insurance via live chat, takes a while to connect and get hold of someone on the phone. The app is useless I constantly have issues with it. Even after getting in contact with someone for help the app still doesn’t work
