“AWFUL! DONT PAY OUT FOR MECHANICAL FAULTS! Black box monitoring is appalling! Insurance will only go up every month, regardless how slow or sensible you drive. THEY DO NOT PAY FOR MECHANICAL FAULTS SO IF A TURBO BLOWS THEN YOU MAY ASWELL WAVE YOUR CAR AND INSURANCE GOODBYE”

Hi, We're sorry to read you're unhappy. Vehicle insurance covers accidents, fire and/or theft, it's not for mechanical faults with the car, this is the case with all vehicle insurance. “I love wisedriving. The people are so helpful, the box is easy to install and they stick to their promises when they say they will refund you if you drive well. Ive been with them for about 3 years now and not had a single issue and always get my refund when i drive well.”

“So far so good. Had a 10% reduction in my premium, which was already the lowest premium I could get. The customer service side is also very good as the few times I've had to contact them I was put through to a real person within a couple minutes. You can also make big changes to your policy online, such as changing vehicle without ever having to speak to someone although changing vehicle did cost me £120 it was easy to do, which is rare for an insurance company. I was wary of telematics driving to begin with but it seems perfectly fine to me and has given a good reference on bad behaviours I may have had. The telematics scale you out of 100 overall with four different driving points ranging from Excellent to Poor. The four points are: Speed: As long as you don't break the speed limit then this will always be 100. Acceleration: This one can be difficult for new drivers to master but as long as you pull away smoothly then this should also always be 100. You can even pull away quickly so long as its smooth, not jerky. Braking: This one can be a little harsh, living in a city means that sometimes I have to brake suddenly and sharply meaning this score can be perfect although rarely is. Though I haven't personally had a score below good yet. Time and place: This one I'm not too sure about. It's normally 100 but sometimes can dip to 0 instantly from using the car for a few minutes after midnight and also once at 7am in the morning which was quite strange. I'm unsure which places would put the score down but I've been in the countryside and the city centre and still had a score of 100. All in Wisedriving has been a great insurance company and has made me less weary about telematics policies.”
