“Couldn’t get insurance documents to collect new car on 1st September as nowhere does it state that it can take up to 24hrs to be able to retrieve certificate of motor insurance. Stressful time will never use again as what’s the point in online documents if you can’t access them?”

“absolute rubbish, I have tried to purchase a new car insurance policy with one your companies hastings premier, It will not activate the actual purchase, I have phoned and they want a further £12.50 to book by phone. hugely disappointing.”

“The web price was £100-27 but when I phoned them to take out the policy they said the price had gone up to £104-82. I was in a rush and did not have the time to argue, but I will NEVER use the site again or buy any Halifax product!”

“So, two days after requesting a call back, I get one. Only to be kept on the phone on the line for over 5 mins despite having given a name of the person I was being transfered to. What sort of company are you that treats potential customers this way.”

“I got a quote for a Partner using a work email a few years ago; now I cannot use that email for my own quotes. I thought I bought home insurance for me and it reverted back to her so I have had to cancel that one and use a different email.”

“Talking to a man in South Africa..who didn't seem to have any idea why I would need business insurance.after25 minutes igaveup and thought I would wait and see what happens. Also the dine offer seems to difficult to access as it is not compatible with my phone.why do you make these offers available. I have read the reviews and there seem to be many disgruntled customers. Can you sort my problem for me”

“Went on go compare got a quote cheaper than u quoted me for my renewal,with u!! Try to pay for it on line and wouldn’t except anything I entered, I rang and got put though to someone I struggled to understand which then transferred me to someone in home insurance,that then transferred me back to someone,again couldn’t understand, that wanted a reference number that I did not have as being at work. Came home and tried again on line and same again, typed card details in,waited and went back to the beginning!!!!”

“I got a smaller car and premium increased by over £60. When I mentioned it no-one was interested. I got a much cheaper quote, much cheaper, and accepted. The not bothered attitude was the thing that got to me.”

“I applied for a DINE card following taking out car insurance. I downloaded the app. and was expecting a physical CARD to be sent to me for use in restaurants. However, I have not received a card or there is no ability to get one from your website. I do not use data on my mobile phone so cannot use an app at a restaurant. There are many people like myself who do not use data on their mobile phones. How can I use the Dine facility? Will you email a code or something like that???”
