Hi Trevor, Thanks for leaving your feedback. We are not aware of any issues that may have caused this error unfortunately as it occurred on the insurers website. Sometimes internet history can affect the way a website functions, so you could try clearing your internet history, cookies and cache and returning to attempt the payment again. Failing this, the insurer will likely have an alternative contact method if not over the phone, an online chat service or an email service. Should you get in touch with them directly, please ensure you quote your GoCompare reference number. Doing this will ensure you are still eligible for our £250 excess protection cover. “Good website overall, especially tempted by the cashback on Quidco and the excess rebate Gocompare were offering. One problem, my car numberplate not accepted, but manual car details werent either, leading me back to number plate request in a death loop. Eventually car locked in as a 2000-2006 , clearly just the 2000 part makes it to the underlying insurers because when they found out my car was a 2001, they increased the price.”
