Hired a car in Faro through Argus. Arrived at the Gold Car collection point with an Amex CC and 2 Visa DCs - none were acceptable. I had to pay a total of €306.93 in addition to the cost of hire, to have the car released. Why does an international car hire company not accept American Express as a payment option.......?
