"It Is Companies Like This Hurting Sim Racing\r\n\r\nWhere do I start. I hate to make this post but I just want to race and I would hate to see the same thing that happened to me happen to someone else. I saved up and ordered a cockpit from GT Omega and was like a kid on Christmas day waiting 3 hours outside for the mailman to arrive. Upon arrival the box was beat up and had 2 poles sticking out the side. I got the boxes inside & opened up then I started to put it together to find my rig was all scratched up and missing the wheel deck, seat bracket to attach seat and a side piece for the shifter mount. Not only that they sent me a set of instructions that was the same instructions customers have been complaining about for over a year with 2 step sevens no step 8 and no information on what bolts go where and to top it off it was walked over so many times some steps were unreadable. Great quality control. Their customer support is horrible. The website description stated 24 hours support but yet contact page says from 8am to 5pm but you only get replies on email from 7am to 10am about a 2-to-3-hour time frame if you're lucky. After going back and forth for 3 days I was told parts would take 1 to 2 weeks to come in so I asked for a new rig. I was told to take rig apart and box it back up and they would send me another. I took it apart and let them know I had it back into the box and they replied saying they were out of stock and can send parts even know they told me to pack it back up and they would send out another. I do not want parts for my scratched-up rig. Here I am 1 week after ordering the cockpit and still trying to deal with them in email about getting things sorted out. I tried to make a deal with them about sending out a upgraded prime that was in stock and I would add more money they didnt want to do that. they said they would give me a refund and send out a new cockpit then said they we not 100% clear and could not do that. It just discouraged me from sim racing in general just upset. This is just a brief explanation of what happened with GT omega I will be making a YouTube video that will be more detailed and show our conversations from start to end so you can see just how professional this company is. Clearly their bottom line is profit and they do not care about their customers."
