Then they said they would take 7 working days to 'consider my request for a refund or address amendment '!! I now await a call from them at some point in the next 2 weeks to be advised of their 'decision'.

Absolutely terrible. Ordered items online for in store pick up. Turned out the items were out of stock in store, given the run around on getting a refund. The chap in store was friendly and doing his best, but the system let things down. Contacted customer services, promised a response, no reply. Twice.
Save yourself time, money, and reduce your stress levels by shopping anywhere else.

I had also asked for the cables that were changed because I had bought them two weeks ago at Kia, so I was going to ask for a refund there because the cables were original and new.

One upset little boy and one furiously frustrated Mum! Halfords have essentially stolen my money and have told me they don’t have the power to refund me on the phone - then how else do I get it?!! I have received no refund, no item, and no contact.

Despite that, Halfords refused a refund and told me to pay for a new chain and labour.
