“I initially missed the opportunity to have my home buyers survey from the bank. I then looked around online and chose Harp Chartered Surveyors Limited. The service is received was very poor as the surveyor Adrian Robinson missed out on many simple issues with the house that I purchased.
On the report he stated;
- the pointing of the chimney stacks were of good condition but needed further checks. However, I realised water falling between the cavity wall in the bathroom wall and builders noticed from ground inspection that the pointing of the chimney stacks is causing this.
- the roofers also noticed day light entering the loft through the tiles. The falling tiles have also allowed water to fall in between the walls and in the cavity. However, the surveyor did not notice any of this according to his report.
After continuous emails being ignored I was really annoyed. I eventually manage to call him and then he stated he will get back to me tomorrow. It did take over a week and constant reminders!
I have made a complaint to the RICS.”
