“Absolutely appalling service
I had a Harvey water softener installed 5 years ago. All the literature says that unlike other brands it doesn't need servicing, and it's designed to last 10 or 15 years.
Now it is just pouring all water down the drain.
I called Harvey, and they quote £185 plus parts, for a callout, irrespective of what they find.
Remember, the warranty is for 3 years, the promise is 10 to 15 years.
The cost to the customer of their failure is £185 plus parts.”
“We had a Reverse Osmosis system installed last year and it is meant to be serviced/replaced every year. It has now been 4 months and they still "don't have the parts" and we are "on a waiting list". They don't care and they're rude. Don't buy from this company.”

We ordered and had fitted (by Harvey) a water softener a couple of months ago. Within a month it broke twice and flooded my cupboard twice. It’s has caused a significant amount of damage to my kitchen cupboards and having sent pictures of evidence to 2 email addresses (including the one given by Harvey responses to these reviews) I am still getting no contact from Harvey. I have called numerous times to be told “we can’t transfer calls internally as our phone system don’t allow it” (unlikely), so I’m told someone from the right team will call me back promptly. Of course no one ever does. So I’m in a vicious circle of no one contacting me and having kitchen cupboards that are warped to the point the doors no longer close and the dishwasher door won’t work.
We are also owed money, which we still haven’t had a refund on because apparently that isn’t their problem either.
The new water softener we have had fitted by a local trusted plumber who was shocked at the mess that was left when the Harvey softener was removed.
Anyway, DO NOT use this company, there are much better options (Monarch) for half the price.”
“The worse company you can deal with. Take them 3 months to replace leaking tap but partly fitted will old parts so partly not working. Complaint several times but not respond from them. Very bad customer service, it will take you an hour or more to contact over the phone, but than any way they just promise that they will call back but never happen. I asked to remove the system but even this request is ignored, I'm taking this case to ombudsman service.”
“I was provided a quotation (Ref: 315279) for subscription trial + full purchase for £2,055.60. Their Sales team offered to split the full purchase cost using direct debit with 0% APR and explained that after paying the full purchase price, I would own it. After 4.5 years, having paid off the full cost, it is now mentioned to me that sales team had put me on rental agreement, that means I keep paying monthly amount indefinitely to Harveys.
This is a gross example of mis-selling and misleading by Harveys sales team. To make things worse, they forwarded my contact to credit style for collection.
I have their original quotation and based on this, I am going to consult a lawyer to discuss filing an application in small claims court against Harveys for this mis-selling.”
“Avoid if possible, their after sales service is very unprofessional. The bad installation made my 1st floor flooded and when I asked for help no one care or take any action. They only want to charge you for their unprofessional service. Very disappointing and won’t recommend to anyone.”
“Just terrible after care and no customer communication. A pipe was left leaking after installation, and when the remedial engineer came supposedly to replace the new cupboard carcass that was ruined by the leak, he left more damage and a different leak, so that the water drained onto the floor beneath the cupboard. Getting a written response from Harvey is almost impossible. We are still waiting. The unit was installed last July and it's now mid-March.”
“Avoid. Hope to hell that there are no issues after install because they don't seem to care. Despite photos, a newborn, black mould revealed to be everywhere, a wrecked new floor thanks to a slow drip from the water softener's bypass feed, Harvey could not even be bothered to return our calls. They could send someone out in 3 weeks time - thanks for the swift action on a flood caused by your install guys. Shocking. Just avoid at all costs as these guys do not care once they have your money - some £2000 by the way. Terrible service. Avoid avoid avoi”
