Tonight I broke down on A1M just beside Junction 61, I managed to get on the hard shoulder, the Officers that stopped to help me where amazing, courteous and extremely helpful, twice they stopped to ask if I was okay also regular phonecards keeping an eye on me, I never really understood what there about, but a big thank you to all that helped me tonight.

Regretfully, I was unable to carry out a withdrawal. The investment website was soon exposed as a scam when it kept requesting further contributions. I found several online testimonials for MADACOVI. CO cybersecurity website after I asked for help, and they helped me get all of my money back.

I drive throughout the UK and I’m amazed how dangerous the roads have become. When I started driving almost 50 years ago the roads were a lot safer because it was incumbent upon the driver to read the road. What we see with this organisation is lives being put at risk by poor misleading signage, that is wrong 999 times out of 1000. I think they are just a bunch of ‘legal’ money making scammers. They claim that safety is their priority but truth be told, I wouldn’t be surprised if people had lost their lives as a result of this organisation.

Highways England are up there with some of the most broken and corrupt of the UK, absolutely useless and spend more time trying to make a buck off of road users than provide any sort of safe roadways

1. I was making my way to Whitby on 25 June, when I was diverted away from entering because the road was closed, The diversion sign took me towards Northallerton as I was to find out as there was no alternative route sign! Realised and had to be directed back on my route, totally inept of whoever was responsible for signing. 2. Frequently confused as direction signing boards are hidden with bushes and trees, ridiculous lack of planning and maintenance by whoever.

Absolute Joke. I rang two days ago to check on a journey from East Yorkshire to North Lincolnshire for an urgent medical appointment. I was informed there were no road closures. On Look North tonight, I’m informed there are road closures all weekend. I contacted Highways England, and George responded by saying, “We have lots of new staff, sorry about that, we will ensure they’ll be trained up” 🙄 Broken Britain, and in the meantime I’m supposed to say “ Thanks George”

Please start clearing the litter as you say you do. I've seen the same pieces of litter on the M5, M6 and M42 for years now. Your new anti-litter campaign is a waste of money. Motorway litter is mainly from packaging and car parts NOT from people chucking things. You just need to clean it every month and stop the blame game.

Have been concerned about the number of potholes on our local M53. I am pleased to say that the highways agency responded promptly to concerns raised, and the situation on the M53 is improving.

This organisation is not fulfilling its duty to keep the nation's verges clear of litter. We are like a developing country with no regard to cleanliness. It's a disgrace.

Awfully managed - totally risk averse and have no thought for the regular driver. Planes continue to land and take off and yet you shut the QE2 bridge for hours. Take some managed risk, we are old enough to make our own judgements.

Roads under your banner (Highways England / National Highways) are in a terrible state and very dangerous there is a serious lack of maintenance being undertaken. Lack of road markings, cats eyes, detritus removal from central reserves and verges for rain water run off is making driving conditions treacherous especially at night (the list could go on as regards to what’s not being done in general terms) it’s like playing Russian roulette with your life. Having previously worked on the highway’s doing maintenance for 13 years the failure’s stick out like a sore thumb. There is NO excuse for the state of the roads other than a serious lack of management over the company’s contracted to maintain them. The maintenance that use to be carried out isn’t being done and this idea of just letting roads fall into a state of disrepair then put a scheme in place rather the maintain is wrong and is costing lives. Highways England YOU have a duty to keep the roads maintained and safe for the travelling public and your clearly not doing it. Should never have taken the client/contractor out of the equation putting it all under one management setup allowing the police to police themselves and a big pot of money to keep if not used. Hence let the road fall into a state of repair and then get the money for a scheme from a central pot not the maintenance contract.

We got a blow out on the M5 between j9 and j10 last night with two adults and two children i the car. I phoned rac and AA who said they would be at least 4-5 hours so asked me to contact the highways agency to advise them of our whereabouts, got a lovely lady on the phone who was sympathetic and advised that we needed a tyre repair company to come out and that we needed to find one closest to us. She got our whereabouts and said that they would keep check up on us to make sure we weren’t stuck on the hard shoulder all night. We phoned a tyre repair company and they were on their way, got three or four calls back from the highways agency checking in to see if we were ok and getting updates from us as to how close the repair vehicle was. The tyre company turned up and started the repair and then a highways car turned up to check on us all, he gave us emergency blankets to help keep us warm as we had been on the road side for nearly 3hrs by this time. He helped the tyre repair man get us going again as we had also got a flat battery by the time help had arrived, thankfully we were able to jump start my car and the nice gentleman followed us for a couple of miles further on our journey. We are so grateful to both gentlemen for their help and to the staff at the end of the phone. You were all amazing.

If I could give no stars I would. For the second time in four months, on Friday night, 20 October, the M4 was completely closed from J5 after an adjacent route was also closed, forcing four lanes of traffic to leave at J5. No warnings given on the M25 and no diversion signs anywhere. This added an hour to my journey to Bracknell (J 10). Who are the idiots running this outfit?
