“I think Historic Newspapers use other companies to send the papers for them. Mine was sent from Scotland, but HN has an English address. I paid for standard international delivery, but they sent it UK 24 postage so it took ages to get to France, and they pocketed the difference. Not really impressed with their service to be honest.”

“Frame was in pieces and unusable. Paid extra for the inscription, it was on the back of the frame and not visible. Basically paid 1000 dollars for the paper, that was the only usable item.”

“What do you buy the man who doesn't want anything for his 70th birthday? I might also add that he hates surprises and is very difficult to buy for. I toyed with the idea of a single historic newspaper, from the year of his birth, but then came across this product as an upscaled alternative. The front page of The Mirror, from 1950 to 2019, beautifully presented in a leather A3 size book format. (If I'd been willing to wait a month, I could have had this year too.) I could see him dreading opening this mysterious package, in case he didn't like what was inside and I was disappointed by his reaction. As it was, he carefully opened the outer wrapper, then opened the sturdy titled box, to reveal the book inside. I didn't hear another peep out of him for the next two hours! We were both amazed at how many things we remembered, but would not have been able to place as happening around the time of his birthday. As a special present this was a winner.”

“Book is nice quality. But bought for a 75th birthday and was disappointed at quality of print up until the 1970s. Also font is very tiny so not very readable. I did query and raise this with customer service but was told that is just how it is. Should be a warning that it is only readable with a magnifying glass. The earlier pages have lots of blotches and white patches. Disappointed overall. Might be nice if you wanted from 70s onwards...”

“The parts that they created are either stuck in wonky or the printing is not complete. I emailed the company 6 days ago including pictures of what I was not happy with and they have not replied so they truly deserve a poor rating. I paid over £60 for a 90th birthday present and what they have sent is not worth the money. I'm sure after a poor review my complaint will be addressed and if not the rating is deserved.”
