Food is really bad and hotel rooms are too small, not up to the mark and not recommend anymore

The hotel car park was difficult to find. Instructions told us to go t a certain car park. It was sign posted ‘staff only’! When we eventually found a temporary parking place behind the hotel, we found our rooms were like prison cells. My douvet had stains and although the sheets looked clean, I did n’t feel I could sleep in the bed. It is the worse hotel I have ever stayed in and I definitely would not recommend. This was the hotel at Manchester airport.

Rooms were neat and well kept. Staff especially Hathim was plesent and had a wonderful manner.

Acabamos de chegar no hotel íbis buffet Santiago providência. Transfer pelo hotel com mais de 1 hora de atraso. Nao tivemos nenhum pedido de desculpas. Check-in tínhamos feito online e demorou ao chegarmos e tivemos que fazer novamente. Não tem travesseiro extra, não tem toalha de mão, não tem nem onde apoiar a mala. Toalha desfiada. Realmente não recomendo. Não tem o mínimo necessário. Estou muito desapontada com o atendimento e com a falta de cuidado com o cliente.

I booked a room for me, my partner, and my two children and they said it was fine but when we got to the hotel, they said that my 4 year old daughter has to sleep in her own room. So i said, i will sleep with my daughter and my partner can sleep with our 1 year old son and they said no, it's either one person in a room or 3 they can't do two. That is pure foolishness, so they called the manager and he sent us to another hotel 10 miles away and he provided travel, but when we got there they told us the exact same thing

The Ibis hotel group would not give a refund despite not being able to travel due to the corona virus. The hotel was even closed. I will never be booking an Ibis hotel again.

Ibis Budget Hotel in Edinburgh have cancelled my booking due to Covid-19. They have told me - in a very mean spirited message - that I must book at the same hotel for a date within the next 12 months or they will treat me as a no show - even though they have shut the hotel! We are both around 70 and unlikely to travel anywhere in the next year. So they feel free to cheat me of my money. I am trying charge back and am prepared to issue a writ in the Small Claims Court as this is now a matter of principle. In the meantime, the more publicity I can get for this mean spirited company the better. I bet they are taking UK taxpayer money to furlough their staff - tax money I help pay. But they want it all ways. Some companies will emerge from this situation with an enhanced reputation. Ibis/Accor will not be one of them.
