“What went wrong was I had to choose 1 star to get to write a review…..I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered.
I ordered a children’s book … It came properly packed and in time but the book was disappointing to say the least. The pages were damp the book was dirty and pages were stuck together. Altogether disgusting … had a refund though …”
“Placed an order for a book 3 weeks ago. Today, on the day it was supposed to arrive they canceled the order. Can't message the seller through Amazon. It's ridiculous. Are they keeping money in an account for several weeks then refunding everyone? I'll never buy from them again.”
“If I could have given no stars I would have. I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered. Book not received, supposedly being sent by Whistl but no tracking. Amazon won't allow contact with seller, only digital replies. It is disgusting that Amazon are continuing to allow this company to advertise on their site. Will be contacting Amazon customer service and referring them to these reviews.”
“The book was sold as Used - Very Good (definition should be "Clean, undamaged book with no damage to pages and minimal wear to the cover."). The cover was dirty, dog-eared and had a rip on the spine. Someone had written a gift dedication on the front flyleaf which had not been mentioned. I wanted a 'Very Good' copy of this out-of-print book as a gift. This is useless to me. I feel duped.”
“Ordered 2 books via Amazon, 9 days ago no delivery, allegedly being delivered by Whistl,
NO tracking number provided.
Keeps coming up as delivery running late.”
“Delivered covered in handwriting and dirt (I think may mucus)
Absolutely disgusting - and to return the book would cost almost as much as the original purchase
These guys scammers and Amazon don't care. I intend to make this known in any way I can. hope this forewarns someone out there”
“Ordered via Amazon the War Atlas of Asia and the Pacific and received a book about horses. Sending back for refund via Amazon. Trust that happens. Looked at other sites that sell Infinite books and the book I require is not there so I guess they did not have it in stock and just sent anything.”
“Take all of my books off your site asap!! I never gave you permission to sell my books. Where is my royalties for my books you are selling. I'm the author of some of the books you are selling and not paying me.”
“Ordered 2 books via Amazon. Unable to use Amazon lockers for some unknown reason. Books (in a bright orange plastic bag) delivered by a total numpty who left them by my front door in full view of anyone walking by and it's a busy pedestrian route into town. Could have put in the recycling bin which have a lid or taken it down the steps to the basement lightwell. Infinite Books reluctant to refund. Had to get Amazon to step in.”
“It's been over two weeks since they pretended to dispatch.
Amazon won't allow me to contact seller or request a refund until it arrives.
Estimated delivery date 2nd August.”
“I have been waiting almost 2 weeks for delivery of a book I ordered. The suppliers keep changing the delivery date making it difficult for me to request a refund from Amazon. Cannot recommend this company.”
“I ordered and paid for 2 books through eBay to be delivered to the Netherlands and they never arrived. I have not been able to get in touch with Infinite Books UK and they are not responding to my messages.”
“Advertised and bought through Amazon.
Used book advertised :
Condition: Used - Very Good
Clean, undamaged book with no damage to pages and minimal wear to the cover. We offer a full money back guarantee should you not be satisfied with your order in any way.
Arrived in a poly bag delivered by Whistl.
Bag was damaged with the base of book spine crushed and poking out of the bag. Likely dropped.
On opening, ex library copy, dog eared pages damage to front and rear cover. Front page torn.
The book might have left Infinite books in better condition but, with inadequate protection, it's condition would always get worse.
Awaiting a refund.”
“Ordered an "immaculate condition" book (an atlas for my son who loves maps) with no damage to the cover etc. Whrn I finally received it however it was published in 1991 with worn pages, faded etc. Absolute rubbish, It did only cost £4 but that's £4 of a kids birthday money. I wanted refunding and they said I can return it via hermes, print label and arrange collect and the postage will be deducted. Really not worth the hassle. Won't use them again or recommend them.”
