“Very good tour manager and knowledgeable local guide. Accommodation was clean and comfortable but it would be better if the traveling group were accommodated in the same B&B or close by. As the group scattered and heavy traffic, it was an anxious journey to catch our return train which would be avoided if the group could be accommodated closer to each other. The incorrect communication of returning train schedule meant we did not have our allocated seats and had to rushed around the train to look for vacant seats or stand for the 4-5 hour journey. The booking form to select a twin share room was deceptive as I booked for 2 passengers to share a twin room, I assumed that when I ticked the booking box for 1 twin share, it was for number of twin rooms required not number of persons.”

Good morning, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I was glad to hear you enjoyed the guiding that was included as part of your tour. We provide a range of different accommodations as part of this tour, from 2* traditional guest houses, to 5* hotels. As such, it is not possible to accommodate all of these options under one roof, although we understand that it would be more convenient for all involved if this was possible! I do apologise for any confusion but I have checked and can confirm that all of the upgrade prices on our website are clearly listed as a 'per person' upgrade. I have attached a screenshot of our booking page to highlight this. I also do apologise for the inconvenience you experienced during the train journey back to London. We have investigated this matter, and we can confirm that the team at Virgin East Coast had mistakenly booked us onto a different service and not informed us of this, which did mean the group had to board another train and as such, the seat reservations were void. We are very sorry for this and have instructed the train company to ensure that we get allocated the same service each weekend in the future. “My husband and I enjoyed our trip from Dover to England with stops in Canterbury and Leeds very much. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Each stop came with a tour and time to look around on our own. When we finished the tour, our guide dropped us off right next to our hotel. It was a lovely day.”

“Driver was at the terminal waiting for us. We didn’t have to lay a hand on our bags; driver took care of everything. He had a very congenial manner which made it a very pleasant trip to the airport.”

“This is an ambitious itinerary and large crowds at all three stops were negotiated with great skill by both the guide and the driver. I would rate the tour as very good except for the huge crowds and that is not something that International Friends can avoid. Overall, this was an excellent way to spend the day, getting from the port to our hotel in central London, while also visiting 3 of the great British tourist sights.”

“After leaving the Disney Cruise hip we were looking for leisurely trip back to our hotel in London but wanted see some of the historical sites on our trip into the city. The tour was perfect for need to get to our London hotel. Our tour guide provided great information during the trip on the bus and on our stop in Canterbury town and Leeds castle. We were given enough time to walk through the town and the castle. The trip wrapped up with our drop off at our hotel. Our tour guide made sure that we were dropped off steps from the hotel and that we had our luggage which was being carried on a separate luggage van. Recommend for anyone leaving the cruise ship needing transportation to London but want to do some leisurely sightseeing before going to the hotel.”

Good morning, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We do sincerely apologise for the delay in your pick up on the transfer from Southampton to London. We understand that the driver collected you at 08.56 on the morning of your tour, 26 minutes after your pick up time, which we wholly appreciate was unacceptable and understand the worry and frustration this could have caused. I understand my colleague has already emailed you with a full explanation as to what occurred on this date with regards to the drivers lateness, and we are currently waiting for you to confirm your card details in order to process a partial refund back to you by way of apology. “I was completely satisfied with my tour with 'international Friends". the guide was delightful, and caring- looking after us like family. we were met and taken to our bus, from the cruise ship, being made to feel welcome. full marks to the driver , and guide- I would like to travel with them again!.”

“Our trip to the Cotswolds andOxford was very enjoyable and informative. Great minibus, and driver, knowledgeable guide. The sites we saw were perfect. Good history as well. Only thing slightly negative was hearing the driver and guide talk “shop” about their job and schedule, etc. It wasn’t over the microphone but we sat up front and it was distracting. Would definitely recommend the trip to anyone.”

“Lovely day at Stratford on Avon, the Cotswolds, and Oxford. Our guide, Kristina, was excellent, very willing to share her knowledge but not overwhelming one with facts and dates and such, and also funny and approachable. Daniel was our driver and he was also quite nice and friendly. Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions, and also keep in mind that International Friends has many tours to pick from, almost all of which are small group tours. Small group tours may cost a little bit more, but the extra little bit is very, very worth it.”

“Tour and guide were great. Enjoyed oxford and Harry Potter studios. The downside of the trip was the bus. The ac was not working even though we were told it was because of the heat in England at the time. This made little sense to me. It made the 2 afternoon legs of the journey quite bothersome.”

“Pick-up at the cruise terminal was easy. We located our guide, and after the rest of our group arrived, we were on our way. We enjoyed Bath and Cotswald. The pub lunch was very hearty. The guide was informative. Some small mishaps led for the good as opposed to the very good; 1. We ended up waiting quite a bit to get into Bath, despite having prepaid for our tickets. 2. The guide got stuck in traffic and was over half hour late to the pick up. While we didn't have his number, it would have been helpful if he had let the office know so that they were aware of what was going on when we called.”
