“I went on two tours and one of them was so time restricted that you could feel the stress off of the driver and the tour guide, but the other was more relaxed and was got to know the driver and tour guide because we had the time. Tours are better when you give the tour guides room to do their own things.”

“I was in London for business and had extra time to book a tour. I was considering using public transport but decided on Internatioan Friends and am glad I did! I booked Stonehenge, Old Sarum and Avebury and the trip was fantastic. We had a group of 5 people and our guide *** was very knowledgeable, provided excellent commentary and was genuinely enthusiastic bout the history and stories of the sites we visited. \n\nI could not have covered the same sites or had close to the same experience on my own. I would highly recommend this tour and company. \n\nOrder procedure was smooth. No real recommendations.”

“Overall the experience was very enjoyable. *** was right on point with communication and time tables. The group was housed at two separate B&B's which made it a little challenging to connect but not impossible. Even though totally aware that the itinerary may change from what is published and was fine, it certainly did not fall in line with what was expected after reading the on-line schedule. We expected the first day tour to be via motor coach and it ended up being a walking tour, which was not what we were expecting. The coach tour into the Highlands was wonderful and *** did a great job of driving and pointing out landmarks, etc. It would have been nice to have had at least one stop on the return trip in order to use restrooms. Thankfully *** had alerted our smaller group that we should take care of that prior to getting on the bus at Loch Ness! Overall, it was a wonderful weekend and I would recommend it to anyone as long as they understand there is more walking involved than was communicated on line.”

“Well run tour in a very comfortable small bus with a very manageable 16 people. *** was well informed about many topics, engaging in conversation and made sure we arrived and departed each stop in a timely manner. He would ensure that we had our tickets and audio guides and was very clear about where to go and when. Info given in an email before the tour was detailed and complete. All this added up to a very nice day tour with no stress and well worth the money.”

“*** was a phenomenal tour guide! Very knowledgeable and made you feel like you were a good friend. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him.\n\nThe only suggestion I have for the tour would be not to include Blenheim Palace. I would have rather spent more time in each village than spending time there. A drive by would have worked fine for us.”

“We had a group of 13 adults and kids, and booked a private tour to "within the stones" at Stonehenge and then to Windsor Castle. We had *** for our guide and I think the driver was ***? \n\nEverything was just great. The bus was at our hotel right on time and the bus was really nice and comfortable. Our driver got us everywhere safely.\n\nStonehenge was just fantastic. Being able to walk within the stones was amazing and all the details and stories that *** provided were great. Windsor Castle we toured on our own.\n\nI cannot think of a thing I would suggest to improve anything about this. When I sent out my original inquiry and all subsequent questions, every response was received very quickly, and everything was very easy to book. *** helped me book the exact day that my group wanted. I would recommend International Friends without reservation Thank you so much - this was my favorite day in the UK!”

“Your staff (*** and ***) were really good. I'm giving 3 stars because of the bus and the pick-up; these features made the tour just "acceptable" \nBus - seats are really uncomfortable. I was sitting over the back wheel and felt every bump. I have a bad back - so this was an issue.\nPick-up - in the future, you should indicate when booking on the first Sunday of daylight savings time. Everyone on the tour indicated they almost missed this, and would have appreciated an email from the company either reminding us, or confirming the time.”

“Our tour of Salisbury, Stonhenge, and Avebury was fantastic! Oz, our guide, is very knowledgeable and it was really great to have him show us around. We got to take routes that no large bus would ever be able to take through the beautiful countryside. I'm not normally one for guided tours, but I would absolutely tour with International Friends again, no question. \n\nAs much as we enjoyed the sights and information, the lovely drive alone was enough to make us desire to return to England again and again. The driver, a very pleasant Jamaican fellow, was a great part of the day as well.”

“Very professionally organized tour. Extremely knowledgeable driver, on all kind of subjects, from history to geography to current situation, and tips for where to go for coffee/lunch/sight-seeing, and all delivered in an entertaining way. He also knew the area very well, which allowed him to take an alternative route when we ran into a road block.”
