“I want to add my two cents here since I just had an insanely predatory experience with them and highly discourage other folks from using this company. I tried to buy a flight from this company last night twice. The transaction didn’t go through either time (it just kept indefinitely buffering). But then they call me and email me and call me again, claiming they had charged my credit card (not true) and just needed to verify some details with me.
So I call them back and the customer service agent puts me on hold to “verify” my information for 5 minutes and comes back claiming the original flight I tried to book for $593 doesn’t exist anymore. She is likely lying. It still exists online. I can see it in front of me. She claims there’s a different flight available in economy class instead for $659. I say absolutely not. If you cannot offer me the original flight I attempted to book at the quoted price, I do not want to do business with this company. She then claims that they will have to charge me a cancellation fee for this flight. This seems to be highly illegal to me - you quote me a price, you don’t render that good, can’t honor it (even though it still is available on your website), offer me a different option that I have the legal right to decline, and NOW WANT TO PENALIZE ME FOR YOUR TOMFOOLERY?
This felt highly predatory so I told her that I wanted to talk to her manager immediately and would instantly dispute any transaction on my credit card. She said she would cancel the flight and hangs up, sending me a followup email saying they will not charge my credit card. I worry that this may be the playbook they deploy to scam more passive customers - either by trying to squeeze them to upgrade or by penalizing them when they decline. Please be wary, folks!”
“The staff have inconsistencies in their information. I tried to cancel my flexible ticket 12 days before flight schedule for an earlier day of departure and was charged $695.00 in fees. The supervisor even told me that it should have been $1000.00. When I ask him to read the paragraph where these fees are stated, he said it varies from airline to airline. What's the use of purchasing an expensive flexible ticket of $1700.00 when I can't cancel it because of a medical emergency. Too many "fine print" comes up when you try to claim refund.”
