“I used my newly purchased Kuiu Axis Hybrid jacket and pants, along with the merino fingerless gloves for a couple of turkey hunts this spring. I have hunted for more than 50 years in all kinds of conditions in North America. This is the best-performing clothing that I've used.
The fit is great (I ordered a size larger than my standard size), and the design of the pockets and zippers is spot-on. The positioning of the pockets is excellent, and the zippers operate smoothly. The materials appear durable (so far). The neck closure and the hood fit are comfortable. And, finally, the merino gloves are perfect for their fit (open finger) and the ease of operating an iPhone and my gun's safety and trigger. I am very happy with my purchase, and I will be purchasing additional Kuiu gear----I also have a Kuiu backpack.
To top things off, I was successful in my turkey hunts --- two Rio Grande gobbler and an Eastern gobbler!”
“I just returned from a Texas Rio Grande turkey hunt. This is the first time I hunted with my Kuiu Axis Hooded jacked and Axis pants, merino fingerless gloves, and complementary Kuiu hat. The clothing was comfortable, cool, and quiet. I opened the zippers under armpits to keep cool. My long walk into my blind was quiet, cool. I forgot that I even had gloves on when I loaded my gun, shot two long beards, and then texted my guide to let him know what happened. I have been hunting for more than 50 years, in all kinds of weather, rugged and less rugged conditions, with all kinds of gear. This stuff is amazing. I wish I would've bought this years ago. “Beware of returns . Fighting a month to be refunded $600 on a return they acknowledge they have. They say they cant refund because they need another item that I have also mailed back. [totally not relevant to the first item] Holding my refund hostage while they have the product, even an email confirmation that they have it.”

I gave a 2 star because I like their gear and cloth but they trick you into referring a friend to spend 250$ or more. The problem is you can't have a person or roommate buy off of your referral and have it shipped to the house where you both live. Kuiu company won't send you your 50$ refer a friend money if it is shipped to the place you live. It doesn't say it in print where you can see it. People should not have to search through pages of fine print to find the important hidden rule.”
“I bought my nine year old the Youth Reversible Versa Hooded Insulated Jacket. He loves it, but I haven't been allowing him to wear it lately because its too noisy. He's had deer bust him at 25 to 30 yards with slow moveardment because they heard the jacket. On a calm, quiet morning, this jacket will get a kid busted every time in the whitetail woods. My son needs those 20 to 40 yard shots, so this noisy jacket will not work. I will say that he loves the fit and says its very warm. He's back to his quiet coveralls for now.”
“We ordered a rain jacket and it was too small. Kuiu would not allow us to exchange it for a bigger size. The price of their outerwear is expensive, so I would think that a company of their stature would be willing to exchange an item for one exactly the same except bigger.”
