“I am not at all imprssed with my recent purchase of thr AL-star sage Special Edition Fountain Pen. The box it arrived in (not the postage box which was very sturdy) was flimsy and bent out of shape and looked like it had been used before. The nib is terrible. The ink flow is inconsistent and the nib is scratchy. I bought it to use on Tomoe River paper but it looked so awful that I am using a Pilot Metro instead.”
“The pen is great - just as I saw in store. But I paid $19 for ‘personalisation.’ the engraving is so faint that you can’t see it, just the LAMY brand name that has been well engraved. I emailed saying I was disappointed to pay $19 for this and they didn’t reply.”
