I purchased a brand-new Lenovo laptop just 3–4 months ago, despite being warned by multiple friends about their poor quality and even worse customer service. I regret not listening. I now realise they were absolutely right — Lenovo's after-sales support is an utter disaster. While I was using the laptop as normal, the screen suddenly turned half-black out of nowhere — a clear hardware fault. The device had never been dropped, mishandled, or physically damaged. I take great care of my tech. I opened a support ticket, and Lenovo asked me to send the laptop in for repair. What happened next was nothing short of outrageous. They quickly came back with a claim of “Customer Induced Damage”, attaching pictures of a cracked screen that were absolutely NOT representative of the laptop I sent. Thankfully, I had taken several high-resolution photos of the device before shipping it out — showing clearly that there was no physical damage, no cracks, and no signs of mishandling. Despite this clear and undeniable evidence, Lenovo flat-out refused to reconsider their stance. Their tone became dismissive and robotic. I was told I now had to pay over £250 to fix a screen fault I did not cause — more than half the cost of the laptop itself. And to add insult to injury, they even sent the laptop back unrepaired without informing me. This is completely unacceptable. It is beyond belief that a company as large as Lenovo would handle warranty cases with such blatant disregard for their customers. The way this was handled — dismissing evidence, refusing accountability, and pushing an unreasonable repair charge — is appalling. If you're thinking of buying a Lenovo device, DON'T. Their customer service is incompetent, their warranty process is a joke, and you will be left helpless if anything goes wrong.

Spent 4k on a new pc. Was dead on arrival hard drive not connected. And now I cant even get anyone at Lenovo to speak to me. Their online website is a bot who seems to be designed to annoy the hell out of customers. You are stuck in an eternal AI loop. I hate Lenovo, their product and service are the pits. On par with a budget airline.

😡😡Lenovo is deceiving customers, and I am sharing my personal experience to highlight this. I received my laptop from my college, and the adapter stopped working even though it has been less than a year. Since my laptop was under warranty, I contacted Lenovo's customer service. They asked me to send pictures of the adapter and the laptop connected to it. After two days, they responded, saying that the serial number of the adapter does not match the laptop's serial number. However, I received the laptop fully sealed from my college, and the college provided me with the matching serial numbers for both the laptop and the adapter at the time of distribution. The same issue happened with my friend, and Lenovo's customer service gave her the same response: that the adapter's serial number does not match the laptop's. This problem has affected many other students as well, and Lenovo keeps giving the same reply every time. How is it possible that the adapter’s serial number doesn't match the laptop for so many people? It seems like Lenovo is using this excuse to avoid solving the problem, and they are deceiving customers.😡😡😡

I’ve always used Lenovo computers for my business and purchased them for my three kids as well. However, I’m very disappointed with their service this time. I ordered a computer, but the shipping was delayed twice, and then the order was canceled. I spoke to three customer service representatives, but nobody was able to help me.

I purchased a Flex 3 touch screen chromebook on 8/9/23 and by June, the cover has fallen apart at the hinges. I can't even open it without it completely falling apart. Lenovo said the hardware is not under warranty. I am out of luck with my back and forth emails and phone calls. Don't buy this chromebook. Model 82T30012US

In 2020 I ordered a new Thinkpad. Due to numerous mistakes on the side of Lenovo, it took about 9 months for a working laptop to arrive. In the first 2.5 years of use, the Thinkpad subsequently had many hardware breakdowns. After yet another hardware issue showed up in summer 2023, the IBM rep (on behalf of Lenovo) commented that if more than 3 major repairs are needed within a short period of time, Lenovo usually replaces the laptop. This had not happened (even though the Thinkpad should have qualified for that already in 2022) and he offered to open an Escalation Case (September 2023) in order to replace the faulty Thinkpad with a refurbished one. The Escalation Case failed ( = was refused) as the Lenovo depot - to my major surprise- found 2 small liquid stains on metal underneath the keyboard. I informed Lenovo that I suspect some droplets of soup must have accidentally entered the laptop, as the Thinkpad had absolutely no known history of liquid spills. I asked Lenovo to at least honor the fact that the Thinkpad had had many hardware breakdowns, as well as a very botched delivery history, that had nothing to do with any accidental liquid droplets. This was refused, and instead I was accused of "flooding" the laptop. The "proof" of which according to Lenovo was a sticker on the backside of the Thinkpad which had peeled on some of its sides. I informed Lenovo that absolutely no flooding of any kind had taken place, and that the fact that the sticker had somewhat come off around the edge had a completely different reason. In the 7 months following the refused Escalation Case, the Thinkpad continued to have more hardware breakdowns till in early April 2024 the 1 year old motherboard suddenly failed = death. Lenovo refuses any type of compensation, but morover consistently continues to FALSELY accuse me of "flooding" the laptop on the basis of that slightly peeled sticker. I even opened up the (now dead) laptop myself last week: zero signs of liquid having entered via the back of the laptop; zero signs of corrosion. As expected, cause the "flooding" or similar never happened. The laptop has no known history of liquid spills, and the slight peeling of the sticker on the back is the result of 'wear & tear due to mild rubbing against a folder each time the Thinkpad was placed in or taken out of the laptop compartment of my backpack. LENOVO ( REP: MORRISON), it's worse enough that you have provided very poor customer service but it's DEPLORABLE TO TIME AND AGAIN FALSELY ACCUSE A CLIENT AND IN ESSENCE SUGGEST THAT THE CLIENT IS LYING, ON THE BASIS OF INCORRECT "PROOF". STOP YOUR LIES!

I have the T14s gen2 laptop, works fine as it should until last month they have a firmware update. I did the update accordingly and then the battery indicator failed always showing 0%, and the bio-system does not recognize that AC plug is plugged in, I could not set the computer to sleep. I called technical support, tech said the bio is corrupted I need to send the whole computer in for repair to reinstall the BIOS, and I will likely loose all my programs and data in the computer, so I did not do it hoping they will have a patch later on to fix this issue. I did all my windows power setting and sleep cycle numerous times to no avail. On 6-16 Lenovo has a bio firmware update, I was delighted and immediately downloaded it except it refuse to allow me to install because the bio don't recognize that my AC is plugged in and said there's not enough power to do the install. Today at 6-17-2023 I called the technical support for help, technician was rather impatient and told me it's a window 11 problem because "Microsoft did not set their updates to work with their firmware". We went around and around I was courteous just seeking help but and he hung up on me. Called the second time on the same day, another tech told me an entirely different reason and said my battery is bad. I said how can it go bad overnight after a firmware update? but if AC is plugged in then I should have enough power to do the install of the firmware update, the guy got impatient and hung up on me, again. Is this the culture within Lenovo? to hang up on customers when they could not solve the problem? last time I will buy a Lenovo computer, they suck!!!

TERRIBLE, IRRESPONSIBLE ,UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE I bought the LENOVO - Yoga 7i 14" 2 in 1 Laptop - Intel® Core™ i7, 512 GB SSD, Slate Grey on Feb 28th, 2021. Since then, frequent and inconsistent problems have started. Less than 2 months after I bought it for the first time, on April 24, 2021, the screen started to turn white. However, when I turned it off and on, it fixed itself. I didn't pay much attention to it because it fixed itself. The last month, I heard a noise from the left hinge part of the laptop, I didn't pay much attention to it. After a while, when I wanted to finish my work and close it, the strip on the left hinge side came off and the hinge came off in a way that prevented folding. I didn't force it to fold it and had to leave it open. TERRIBLE SERVICE I left it at Currys Barnet store while it was still under warranty and 10 days later the top screen was cracked without being repaired. And they tried to give it to me like that. I did not accept and a new record was created to be repaired. I have not seen such disgrace. I will never ever buy a Lenovo product from now on.

Bought a Lenovo Active Pen 2 for Yoga 11/30 as a Christmas present for my grandson. Lenovo created a shipping label/charged me on 12/3, with an arrival ETA of 12/10. By 12/14, tracking showed the package had still not arrived at UPS. Four days and countless customer service interactions later and Lenovo still won't tell me what happened, where my package is or when/if it will ship. They won't let me cancel it or change the shipping destination (direct to my grandson) because they say it's "shipped." Coincidentally, this product sells via Amazon - but that says shows the product will not be available until 12/29! No such notice on Lenovo.com or any acknowledgment of a possible back-order by Lenovo customer service. I feel that's deceptive and I no longer trust Lenovo.
