“Unfortunately the AI chat feature needs a lot of work. Its very slow. However It has a lot of potential for people serious about learning a language. I particularly liked the translation practice It s just a shame that its so slow its not really useable despite following advice from the service team. It is rather expensive compared to others. “I use Languatalk every day. I'm 4 months into it. I use the chatbot to practice chatting with the AI-bots. What I like is that it feels like a real person I'm chatting with, but since it's not, there is no need to worry about making mistakes. The bot responds to my content in real his/her 'real' voice, encourages me and then asks me a follow up question. Meanwhile, I see written corrections. I can click on one button to slow down the speed of the chat bot. Another gives me an alternative and 'higher' level of language. If I don't understand a word, I can click on that and see it's definition in English and several ways the word is used in sentences. I can import videos or text as well. The videos then provide a transcript and I can click on a word in the target language and find its meaning. The text I import gives me the option to request a spoken voice audio. The company is very customer friendly and responds to problems and suggestions. I am a language teacher and recommend this to everyone who wants to learn. So much better than anything like Duolingo. Definitely worth the monthly charge.”
“I had been self-studying Japanese for about half a year before I found Saori and she has been absolutely amazing! She is so fun to talk with and I feel like I am improving so much! I've always been worried about making progress with the language, but I feel so reassured now that I have been taking lessons with her. “I learn Japanese because I find this language beautiful and because I am interested in Japanese culture. After starting my lessons with Kanako Sensei, I felt a noticeable improvement in my speaking and writing skills. It is very easy to start speaking with Kanako Sensei since she always suggests interesting topics, corrects one's mistakes and is open, friendly and encouraging. While practicing speaking skills I also learned many things about Japan and its culture. For homework I write texts that Kanako Sensei corrects, explaining the contextual use of some words and new grammar points on specific examples. Writing by hand is the one thing that is impossible to learn through online lessons so it is a skill I have to work on on my own. Other than that, I feel that lessons with Kanako Sensei give me a lot and they are always very fun.”

“Olivia is the best - I'm amazed at how much I've learned and can speak Spanish since starting with her! I don't consider myself to have a natural affinity with languages and assumed it would be pain-stakingly grueling for me to get anywhere with it. But Olivia is an excellent, super experienced tutor and makes the process fun. I've gone from zero language skills to regularly using Spanish without a translator at my job and working through B1/B2 material in 1 year.
