Quoted £60 for lockpicking (out of hours) with no mention of any other charges. Locksmith arrived and claimed he needed to drill lock. Request made for price to replace lock but locksmith refused to confirm, saying he was unable to confirm until entry was made. Only on gaining access were the full charges were revealed, just under £500!! DO NOT USE

I am profoundly dissatisfied with the service I received from myLondonLockSmiths.co.uk. If I could give them a rating lower than one star, I certainly would. To begin with, the technician arrived a staggering 1.5 hours beyond the initially promised timeframe, even though their office had assured me of a 1-hour response. When he finally arrived, he managed to gain access to my property using nothing more than a rigid piece of paper. This service was agreed upon at a cost of £50 + VAT. However, the real frustration began when I requested the removal of a specific component. Without any prior discussion of additional charges, the technician proceeded to unscrew two screws on the lock and remove the lever. It is imperative by law that customers be informed of charges in advance. When I asked him about the cost of fixing it, he responded with, "It depends on the lock you need, and the removal has already cost you £39 + VAT." I was taken aback, as he should have discussed the fee beforehand. Adding to the ordeal, the technician's limited proficiency in the English language made communication extremely challenging, especially given the circumstances. It is absolutely vital for the company to provide thorough training to your staff for simple English for COMMUNICATION OF SALES - CREATING LEGAL BINDING CONTRACTS. My frustration with the unexpected second charge on the invoice cannot be overstated. The service line indicated me to email their office email office AT mylondonlocksmiths.co.uk for a refund, but no one answered after two weeks. This entire experience has been nothing short of dreadful.

I just got conned out of 400£, I was locked out with my 6 months daughter it was freezing outside and I had nowhere else to go, I had a yale lock which other companies told me that it could have been opened without damage with a plastic card. I am reporting this to the police and trading standards. ALL THEIR REVIEWS ARE FAKE! COMPLETE SCAMMERS! FAKE FAKE FAKE !

They are scammer, they quote one price on the phone then when they show up without even trying to pick the lock or use their tools they straight go in for the drill, they damaged my lock and my door, left a big hole and charged me 450 plus vat to open my door and then they installed a lock for 648 which I found online to cost only 20 pounds. Completely rip off. I am reporting them to trading standards, found out I am not the only one. An investigation is on course.

An incredibly expensive experience which seemed to become more expensive after the locksmith dispatched, struggled to get into our house after we locked ourselves out. Charge upon charge added. Stay clear!

Avoid at all costs 247 premise but charge extra for late work. I did ask on the phone if there were any suprise fees and the guy said it just costs £70 for the job with no call out fees. There are call out fees, VAT and extra jobs just added. Ended up paying 4x the amount the guy said on the phone. Please do not trust them! The guy who did the job did a decent job but was clearly drunk I would put 0 stars if i could

Extortionately expensive, with opaque pricing. We wanted two locks replaced. Pricing comprised of a call-out charge, a charge per lock fitted and the cost of the lock. We were quoted c£700 for one of the new locks when we could buy it for c£150 online ourselves. Would not use again unless a complete emergency (they do get locksmiths out to you quickly).

Not professional as they claim. The locksmith was watching a video on youtube for example. Price is expensive for a simple job. The locksmith will quote a higher price so just make sure it's the one you were told on the phone. They also don't mention VAT in the original quote so make sure they don't change the price when they arrive.

Locked myself out. Was quoted £59 to get in. As soon as the locksmith arrived he took one look at my door and told me he’d have to drill through it which bumped the cost to £180. To replace the lock it would cost £300. They walked away with £612. He only left me with one key so I went straight to a locksmith to get duplicates who told me the whole process was unnecessary and should have cost £80. A new lock of that nature is only £232 anyway and to top it off, all of these locks come with 3 keys so I feel thoroughly unsafe now knowing the locksmith has the other 2 keys. Tried to call up to speak to them and the receptionist was rude to me and fobbed me off. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I will be taking this matter further with the regulators

PSA - Avoid if you want (a) To not get ripped off, (b) a good service. They charged £550 for the installation of two locks, one of which was installed upside down, and the doorframe was damaged during installation. When we tried to contact the company directly, they blocked both mine and my girlfriend's number after we initially lodged the complaint - this is after they had agreed to return to fix the poor job. P.s. They didn't turn up. Please avoid this company.

What a rip off. £260 to fit a lock that’s £60 on line. Guy was here 10mins and so rude. Avoid like the plague, find another local company is my advice!

We called London Locks Ltd as our door latch had broken and sent a picture of the broke lock. We were quoted £49.00 + vat for the labour + Parts. When the work was complete the final price was £49.00 + vat for the labour and £167.00 + vat for the lock. The lock can be purchased from a retailer for £16.00 + vat. London Locksmiths refused to reduce the costs. We've have been completely ripped off and taken advantage of.

Thank you for the review Daniel. We are door to door services so is impossible to give you replacement parts like you found it somewhere at 16£ plus VAT. 1- is illegal to sell a product at the purchased price 2- our stock of locks is huge, some products remain in deposit even two years so investment is huge 3- our technicians spend money on fuel, business insurance, vans, taxes in that 167£ plus VAT is technician wage, cost of materials, cost of google advertise, company profit. In this case is 13,46£ profit for the company. 167£ is a usual and affordable price paid in London. If you want that 13,46£ we can give our profit back to you But remember, you cannot go somewhere to ask some services in your terms! Regards
