Kept my money
Kept my money! Would not buy online and will not buy again. I am due a refund of nearly £100 for items I returned via Matalan's online portal, yes I had to pay extra to return as they don't offer free returns.
After 2 months of battling this I have received £16.00, the customer service is disappointingly rude and obnoxious. The constant blame being out on the customer - I followed their process!

Returns process, find it annoying that you have to pay delivery and then again to return. Spent nearly £8 on a £25 blouse that I didn't keep.
Yes you can return to the store for free but that is also costly if no local store.
Won't be buying on line from Matalan in future.

Self service dreadful. Poor assistant's they could serve someone by the time they have talked you through serving yourself. Very impersonal. The desk is all wrong it's really awkward and so frustrating. Please don't tell me well there is one till open because its full of people with returns and customer service stuff.
I just will not be shopping there I should have remembered from Last time. WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE

Absolutely appaling, stood in queue for over thirty minutes to pay by cash, only had one till for cash payments which was also the only till for collections and returns, queue was a mile long, all other tills were self service, don't blame the assistant butwon't be shopping here again

I went into your Truro store after work to buy some birthday presents. Went to pay and the woman behind the only manned till said I had to use the self service till as her till was for returns only. Is it too much to ask for a normal till with a friendly assistant ?

However, the don’t offer free returns and I had to pay £17 for return shipping!!!
I spoke to Matalan about this and they said there was nothing they could do about it.

The Manager checked the order details and assured my wife the payment would be in our account within the fourteen day returns window.

Ordered some slippers. Never arrived. Then got an email from Matalan saying I had returned them. They only refunded 3/4 of what I paid as they charge postage on returns. Phone line suspended and emails not answere. So angry!
