“Avoid this place at all costs!
I recently traveled all the way from London for a family member's 70th birthday celebration, only to arrive and find the restaurant completely closed without any warning. I wasted £160 on travel just to be stood up by this disgraceful excuse of a business.
Not only did they ruin a milestone birthday, but they couldn’t even be bothered to notify us that they’d be closed. It’s absolutely unacceptable, and I wouldn’t trust them with any special occasion—or any occasion at all, for that matter.
Save your money, time, and sanity by steering clear of this place. They clearly don’t care about their customers.”
“Tonight we went for an anniversary meal. As always the food and service was absolutely first class but unfortunately because we were right at the back of the building and next to a very noisy table we were unable to have a conversation which spoilt the occasion.”
“Alexandra at the Northampton restaurant is very helpful, makes sure that you are seen to within a reasonable time between starters and mains, and ensures that you get new cutlery and napkins after each use, very polite and friendly.
Thank you Alexandra for a pleasant experience today.”
“Arrived at 6pm waited 25 mins for someone to ask what drinks we wanted even though we had twice been to the bar to ask if we could order the 3 bar staff were just laughing and messing around the waitress that served us was lovely and apologised for the wait she had just started her shift and after all the waiting the steak was tough with a lot of gristle won't be going again”
“Super food and service,as for the price you only get what you pay for, excellent food,we've been before and can't fault if,.my only concern was the walkway from the car park to the main entrance, very uneven paving and the lighting could have been better,ok I know there are lights there ,but 2 elderly 80+ year olds really needed more light, and I'm sure we are not the only people who think this.thankyou.qq”
“We arrived and was showing to our seats. Nobody came to speak to us for half an hour. We went to speak to the manager who was the one who would show us to our seats to be told. He couldn’t remember everybody that he’d seated and didn’t seem bothered in the slightest that we had just been left When I rang to explain to him how unhappy we were with the service he told me to ring head office and put the phone down”
“So not long left restaurant had a lovely family meal spent over five hundred pounds in here and when my daughters partner asked for another drink they said no ,I get it that he was a lil loud it was his birthday wasn't causing any trouble but cause he they said no n said the manager told him to refuse they kind about that so he took the lemons n limes out the machine and it caused a bit of an argument so the woman asked him to leave they had a few words and in the end the waitress told him to f'''ing get out ,so that's how you treat paying customers it was my first and last time I go and spend money in there ,furious is an understatement.”
“Lovely place to eat, service was very slow today, had the festive lunch unfortunately no Christmas pudding available, cannot be a festive lunch without Christmas pudding, not as good as when we came for a meal a few weeks ago, sorry.”
“My husband had booked a table here for my Birthday on the 5th January. We had showed the waitress my phone which had the e-mail from Miller and Carter for a free glass of fizz for my birthday. She first told us that it would be six glasses which I thought a bit odd, but then came back and said it would only be two. I ordered the 8 oz Rump steak and my husband had another steak. Mine was very tough and chewy and I did not enjoy it at all. I did mention this to the waitress when she said was everything ok with the meal. I thought perhaps something may of been done about this but this didn't happen. Then when we got home and looked at the bill we had been charged for the fizz. Not impressed at all. This has now been refunded but I am afraid I will not be visiting this place again. It ruined my birthday.”
