I had purchased a refurbished phone I thought was unlocked, and I was looking for options to be able to use my phone rather than return it. The phone was physically in great shape and still had 10 months left on a warranty from Apple.
Although it took awhile to unlock, and required a few reboots and connection to Wifi for overnight, my phone was unlocked with no restrictions within a couple of days. The email responses were quick and easy to follow instructions (for those of us that are not very techy) and the live chat was also easy to follow. I really love my phone and did not want to return it. I had purchased what I thought was an unlocked phone.
