update on review below So I received an email today after being in touch with customer service that he had spoke to a director and the director said if I didn't delete my review they wouldn't be paying to rectify the works needed to fix my car. My car needs fixing because I spent 2 thousand pound with Mr clutch and the car come out with more problems than what it went in for. Bullying tactics being used. My advice Do not use Mr clutch

AVOID AVOID AVOID Had a new clutch put in by these people less than a year ago, on the way home from their garage it went again. The recovery guy said it hadn’t been bled. He recovered my vehicle back to them where they then kept it another 2 days (they had it four days in total). As I write this I am sat broken down once again with no clutch. What an absolute joke these people are. Do yourself a favour and go to a proper mechanic !

Mr Clutch in Maidenhead is a disgrace. The manger who is called Dan is a total disrespected man/boy. He doesn’t have a clue on how to do customer service or treat his staff. He has no clue on how to work on a vehicle. They break cars. The place is a mess no Covid protection. Do not take you car there.

Took my car for repair in September. In December the part stopped working. Another garage said it was a cheap part. Mr Clurch blamed leaves build up (we do not park are car near any leaves). Bring down again January same reason & other garage confirmed faulty part. Mr Clutch took it in again then blamed leaves build up & charged us another £40. I will never use these again & lesson learnt as why they are so cheap on repairs !

These guys could do with some training on customer service and it would seem the manager doesn't care. My vehicle was booked in for a service, mot, plus a cam belt change and new water pump, so a decent sized job and was advised to get there for 8.30am to allow them time to get everything done. I arrived before 8.30 and saw 3 mechanics enter the building and thought due to the amount of work to be done that I could drop the key off early and be on my way. After knocking on the door the shutter was opened and I was met with a very rude mechanic who flatly refused to take the key and actually closed the shutter door in my face whilst I was still trying to talk to him, great customer service! I received no phone call from the manager to enquire why the vehicle wasn't there or to apologise for the way I was treated. Head office was contacted and they apparently looked into it, but a week later it sounds like they actually have done nothing. Use them if you want but I would suggest trying one of the other local garages who appreciate your trade.

I dont think sharing the whole situation on here would be good but its been a terrible experience with Mr Clutch Slough. The service was not great, the communication between employees is terrible. In all honestly Mr Clutch are great until they make a mistake. Once that happens, they take no responsibility and lie to head office. Mr Clutch pushed me away by bribing me to accept a settlement and not come to the store again. The store manager does not know how to handle a dispute and will never admit any errors. I had 4 major changes - EGR Valve, Turbo, throttle and general parts. The whole job had taken 3 months causing me to go back and forth to fix their mistakes, replacing wrong parts, advising incorrectly, investigating the situation with minimum effort. This company caused a huge loss but the worst bit is i was referred to as the liar. Imagine being without a car for a week because Mr Clutch making mistakes with fittings and then have the audacity to say to head office they found no 'wrong doings' In a nutshell i have been banned from My Clutch after spending over £1500 with them. Truth of the matter is if fitting and work goes well, there your best friends , but as soon as something goes wrong they couldn't care less, didn't help they refused to let me have recordings. I would of proved them wrong. There is one good thing and thats Lee, the manager. Apart from that they change their story and blame you. To add another thing, i finally had a meeting with them and they cancelled on the same day. Really bad service and they dont tell you the full story. Put it this way, i went in first and was told there was only one problem, the throttle, to then when i come to collect my car, they only then realise the exhaust is leaking oil (bare in mind this is after having the car all day). So i had to buy more and more and more. Absolutly terrible and its a real shame because i actually enjoyed coming to this garage for my car problems. The regional manager is terrible and the way he spoke to me and about the situation was carelessly. Too many lies and so many failures for a garage company.

Avoid at all costs! Had I known that Mr Clutch were completely devoid of customer care, diligence and professionalism I would have avoided them at all costs. Our Car was booked in for a clutch replacement at our local branch of Mr Clutch on Wednesday 17th July 2019. When the work was completed the car was taken for a test drive where they identified a knocking noise when the car was in motion. The car was then put back on to the ramp to be re-inspected. After the second test drive we were advised that the noise may be as a result of an issue with the brakes. We were given no further advice and left the garage In the days that followed we noticed an unusual sound coming from underside the car when driving. The car seemed to be rattling when in motion. This was particularly unnerving when driving my two young children to and from school. Based on the advice we were given regarding a potential issue with the brakes, we booked an inspection at a local branch of a well-known National Garage for Saturday 20th July. We did not initially mention the work previously undertaken by Mr Clutch on the Wednesday. When we arrived back to collect the car we were asked if we had recently had any work completed on the car to which we advised that there had been a clutch replacement a few days previously. My husband was then taken to the car and was shown that one of the bolts on the sub frame into the steering rack was not completely secure. This was clearly the source of the knocking noise that we had heard when driving. The Mechanic marked the exact bolt with yellow chalk to make it abundantly clear where the issue was and then we drove the car back to Mr Clutch which was approximately five minutes away. When we arrived at Mr Clutch the car was put back on to the ramp to be re inspected. It was at this point we were advised that the sub frame ‘does not need’ to be removed to replace a clutch. This was in complete contradiction to what we had been told when the work was originally completed on the Wednesday. When the check was complete, we were advised that the bolt was in fact completely secure. A bolt that was identified by a second independent garage as being loose only 20 minutes previously. This was all documented in writing by the Assistant Supervisor of the independent garage. They have subsequently advised that they are very happy to discuss this further given that it is also their professional integrity being called into question. The brakes were then subsequently checked and we left with no further explanation. It is my understanding that had the sub frame into the steering rack detached completely the consequences could have been catastrophic. This is a car that is used numerous times during the day and transports my children to and from school. I have since contacted the Customer Service team regarding my complaint and what has followed has been nothing short of appalling. They have been deliberately evasive, vague and non-comital. There has been a flat denial to acknowledge that there has been any wrong doing, despite written evidence to the contrary, a refusal to answer any of the questions I have raised, and a refusal to escalate my complaint internally. Apparently, there is no escalation process above the Customer Service team and no complaints procedure for them to send to me. After 14 pages of email correspondence, and two telephone conversations, I have now been advised to refer my complaint to the National Conciliation Service for their independent review as it is unlikely that an agreement will be reached between us.Given that we have written confirmation and proof from an independent garage, I find their arrogance and complacency quite simply astounding It is also worth mentioning that we were quoted almost £200 more for the clutch replacement in person. It was only when we advised that we had requested an online estimation a few hours previously that they agreed to honour the original quotation. I think the way that any Company handles such serious complaints speaks volumes about the kind of organisation they inherently are. I could not be more disappointed that we put our trust in a company that clearly has no regard whatsoever for their customers.

Branch manager ROB made everything "BAD" I phoned ROB regarding oil, oil filter and air filter replacement query "labour only" for £40. I supplied my parts and arrived to Hemel Hempstead branch on the 03/07/2019 at 15.00 with my friend. Air filter did not fit what I bought and Rob told me to supply the correct part and come back again. I said "ok, I ll come back ASAP" and paid £40 cash, got my receipt then we left. I just visited Hemel branch today after I ordered and received correct air filter part. Air filter replaced apprx. in 10 mins as a part of our deal but ROB requested me to pay additional £10 for this and I said I did not get the money with me as it was a part of our deal. He did not allow me to finish my sentences he started being rude with very unprofessional manner, shouting tone and said "Take your car keys and don't come here again" I tried to explain again and said "please check your notebook and you will see what you wrote there". He still did not listen and interrupted me and repeated that "don't come here again". This person makes Mr Clutch brand quality lowered. He does not know how to speak and deal with a customer. He must replaced with a new manager ASAP. Totally disaster and loser! I strongly NOT RECOMMENDED to visiting HEMEL HEMPSTEAD branch if ROB works there.

Terrible company. Had an MOT pass when there was an ABS light constantly on which is a certain obvious failure, After complaining straight away on the same day of picking up the car and even sending a video of the issue to head office, was told that they were not interested as i couldn't prove it was happening before the MOT !. Unbelievable. Currently seeking legal advice. Incompetent company. They also left the rear light fascia loose, with screws missing and almost certainly cut corners on a full service but cannot prove that one just yet

YOU WILL BE SHOCKED YOU WILL BE SHOCKED - BE AWARE - READ TILL THE END!!!! Greed: I went to this brand to do my clutch. After they quoted me nearly £400 - with warranty, I decided to take my car in. They called me the next day to say IF i do not replace the flywheel and other bits costing around £1000 now in total then my Clutch warranty will not be valid. Where is £400 and where is £1000? thats more than double... wonder why? Misleading before sending the car in: They didn't tell me my warranty will be void if 'other parts if found faulty' was not replaced. Scaring me with scaremongering tactics, apparently my car is in a vulnerable position (but within tolerance) if i ONLY CHOOSE to fix the clutch and nothing else. Resulting in clutch failure and breakdowns, covering NO WARRANTY if I only choose to do the clutch. I was told it can (maybe) damage the clutch instantly coming off the ramp. Thats what they guy impersonated over the phone. I then called Head Office: A very rude lady looked at my recordings and never considered what i was complaining about. Saying the same thing like a robot, not helping at all and raising her voice, constantly talking over mine. Her argument was - If the flywheel doesn't get changed then the warranty of the clutch is void. Me: My argument was clear: Why didn't Mr. Clutch tell me this from the start? Not in any phone call or when I was in there faculty did they mention that if there is another problem with the car then unfortunately, the warranty of the clutch will be void. At the end of all this they told me to take my car BACK and pay £240 for labour cost. They wont replace the clutch now. So I was forced into getting it towed to another local garage. That cost me another £150 Total loss: £390 - and still my car has a clutch problem, not solved yet but... I am really upset with Mr Clutch and i demand my money back. I was a good customer that was treading in a very unfair manner. Shame on you Mr. Clutch - I am now seeking legal advise and definitely will be taking this further to Small C C. If anyone has any advise or have been treated the same way, please contact me so I can build more a case against them. Trading standards have been informed with UK watch dog

COMPLETE RIP OFF AND SCAM! Don't use. Following a routine service, staff agreed to run a FREE engine diagnostic if a certain fault persisted. Post service, the fault light remained and I rang up and confirmed, that the issue could be checked again for free, as it was soon after the service. This was agreed and the car booked in. On collecting the car, I was charged again for diagnostic and labour. When I mentioned it was agreed that it would be looked at for free, this is quickly denied and dismissed. Hugely disappointing with terrible service. I will be telling everyone to avoid this garage.

believe they cause deliberate damage to car to create more work I took the car for MOT in this garage. It’s 6 yr old BMW X5, which had been serviced by bmw 2 months ago. The car was in prefect working condition, I was told to leave the car and come back in an hour. When I came back they told me seat belt retractor is not retracting and failed mot. This was perfectly working when I left the car. When I look at it, it had been pulled out to end and stuck and won’t got back. The guy on reception won’t give me any details on how it’s broken. Just that he knows his mechanic and he won’t do things like that. Most garage typically will create a video when I they do mot test. These guy gave me nothing and just told me to either get it looked at by them and or take it somewhere else.

Took our Freelander 1 in to have the clutch done. It took nearly two days. The car was returned to me three times and I could not get it into gear - it took them 3 hours to sort it out. They claimed that it needed the DMF at the same time (doubling the cost), but could not tell me what was wrong with it, and would not return the old parts for me to have a look at. When I drove away it overheated and I had to fill the cooling system with water as it had been left empty. The EML was repeatedly coming on and the turbo was not providing any boost. Further to that the steering wheel was turned to the right when going straight. Months later I am still waiting for them to agree to repair the car and pay for my garage bill whilst on holiday. I have not had an apology. I will never use them again.

DO NOT USE MR CLUTCH KINGSTON. DO NOT BELIEVE 5 STAR RATING. They are incompetent. Also no point in complaining as head office refuse to investigate unless bad review is removed first -- all they are interested in is manipulating rating and don't care about customers at all.

Terrible service , would not ever recommend Mr Clutch , Clutch was playing up on my Citroen C4 , only done 34K , took it to Mr Clutch Shoreham - I was informed it needed a new master cylinder as it wasn't holding pressure , after 3 days I was told it was fixed and I could pick it up I couldn't get there as it was 4.30pm so said I would pick up the next morning , next morning I had a message to call them and was now informed that it wasnt fixed and still had a problem and now it needed a slave cyclinder , we feel they fitted the wrong part , cost me an extra £250.00 , I took it to an independent garage who fixed it for £115.00 , I feel they misdiagnosed the issue , I got the opinion they were just guessing, really poor customer relations, rude inept blokes who gave an opinion they couldn't care less , REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE, I originally left this review on the 8th August and the same day, within hours I received an email from a Customer Relations Officer at CI Holdings (Mr Clutch) asking me to take this review down along with my google review and they would then look into my complaint and get a regional manager to call me back , I was asked again to confirm I had taken the reviews down so I took my reviews down but after sending copies of my paperwork I have not received any feedback or contact at all , seems they are more concerned with getting bad feedback erased then actuality sorting the problems and complaints out, my opinion of the company has been made worse still ,

Since having a new clutch fitted to my converted vivaro camper van in March 2018 (which was a bit of a saga at the time, having to return several times for further work & adjustments) the clutch has now gone onto to last only 15 months & 15,000miles (so now out of their 1year warranty period) Hence, I have been told by the branch that I now need another new clutch! Feeling very cheated and going onto speak to their head office about the situation - I have been advised by them of the possible reasons that our clutch has failed: 1) the way it is driven - not sure what this means exactly.... but assume it suggests heavy clutch use - my vehicle has been driven for leisure purposes only and is not driven in any way hard. 2) more than one person drive the vehicle and that drivers have different 'driving techniques' therefore the clutch may not perform as well?! My vehicle is driven by me 90% of the time with one other driver on the insurance policy who drives on the odd occasion. 3) to do with the roads or the area being hilly..... my vehicle spends most of it's time on level ground - so I don't believe this to be relevant in my case. The conclusion: I have been offered 10% discount on another new clutch fitted by them. Somehow, I don't think I will be taking them up on this offer! The only next step is to pursue my statutory rights via trading standards, is a new clutch only expected to last 15,000 miles in my case? I can only say, based on my own experience, that if you have a clutch fitted by Mr Clutch, be prepared to replace it in the near future..... it is tempting to use them as they are competitive on price but the old saying definitely stands in this case "buy cheap, buy twice!"
