“Ran this check on my own car as a potential buyer used HPI (who also own the National Mileage Register) and both HPI and NMR had incorrect mileage showing, different to the service history and the MOT history records. When I queried it, they said they would need details of the service history and MOT history to be supplied. When I told them they could check the MOT history themselves, they said it wasn't their responsibility to check it !!! So buyer didn't buy, HPI / NMR don't care their info is wrong, but mycarcheck was right. Which is good but didn't really help.”

“Was unsure if this service checked for log book loans although none of the major car check site were very clear on this. I bought the car after using this service which was quick and told me no outstanding debts or hpi. I used this check because I was buying the car with no log book. Would use again as I found the £10 fee reasonable value for money”

“Easy to use online and a comprehensive report, a copy of which is sent as a pdf document to your email address. Half the cost of a major competitor, and in my case showed up outstanding finance on the vehicle I was interested in. There are 3 report options, so you can pick one that suits your purpose. Based on the sample reports provided, I chose the Gold option for £9.95 with a guarantee up to £10,000. Well worth using before you make the decision to buy.”

“Found information i wanted to put my mind at ease before completing car purchase. Only confusing result when mileage record showed the car had done 300000 miles at 5years old when MOT records gave 30000 miles. Tended to go with the MOT as being more realistic.”

“Excellent service. Was a few hours away from buying a beautiful car only to find through mycarcheck that it had been a catergory D Insurance write off in Dec 2013 which the seller omitted to mention. Found another car and downloaded the report which showed the car was fine but the tax had not been paid since Jan I spoke to the call centre who reassured me it was normal practice for car dealers to do this as they run on trade plates.”

“The only bad point I could say about the car check I had done was the Mileage, twice it came back the same mileage on different dates. the car was being used so the mileage was going up.”
