“Good service, good information about the car, and good value. I would definitely recommend taking the option that includes checking to see if there is finance outstanding for the sake of a few extra pounds. Would have given 5 stars except that the car values given were way way off the mark (far too low)”

“I almost did not bother checking the car I was interested in but glad I did as the results showed that the car was a Cat D write off 2 years ago. The owner of the car did not know as it was a Cat D and was shocked when I told him. I did not proceed with the purchase. Thank you for the car check it was very usefull”

“After paying 9 pounds for a "Gold" history check, I was provided with incorrect data regarding finance on a car I had viewed. The HPI report claimed that money was still owed on the vehicle. After further investigation, the car was later found to have no outstanding finance (2 separate sources: the dealer who sold the car & another HPI company). I also noticed some of the technical specs were incorrect (which cost extra). Clearly the data is either out of date or simply wrong. I won't be using mycarcheck again, I feel like I've wasted my money..”

Hi Marc, we're very sorry that your experience with us was a negative one. We source our data from a wide range of places, many of which other car check companies utilise too. Whilst we aim to get data 100% accurate, we do have to rely on our providers to be accurate. That includes finance data. Some sources can experience delays, especially for finance that has recently been cleared. Again, we're very sorry you had a bad experience with us. Thanks.

Hi, can you confirm how you did the check? If it was by the iphone app, please click on 'Report a Problem' when your iTunes receipt comes through. We have no way to refund iPhone checks, but can attempt to resolve this if you follow those instructions. Thanks.

“RECOMMENDED. I USED THIS AFTER HAVING A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH A REPORT FROM A LARGE COMPANY. tHE REPORT FROM THIS COMPANY WAS FAR BETTER. THE ALSO SENT A GUARANTEE BY POST WITH INE DAY. tHIS WAS INCLUDED IN THE VERY LOW PRICE BUT THE LARGE GREEDY COMPANY WANTED £3.50 EXTRA. i KNOW ITS NOT A FORTUNE BUT ITS THE PRINCIPLE. WILL DEF USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN”

“there are more cars with history out there than you may imagine. I decided to avoid a cat C car that i recently checked whilst making an offer with knowledge and advising the vendor that the car he was selling was a cat D, i managed to get the price reduced by almost 25% on another one”

“You do a basic cheap check at around £5, a more advanced one at around £10 and a super duper one at around £15. For me you should do a basic one at around £6.50 and a top drawer one at around £12.50 get rid of the one in the middle. Regards Steve”
