“My wife & I purchased a couch in March at MYFURNITURE in Scarborough, when it was delivered there were multiple areas where the fabric wasn't stitched properly, customer service are horrible. They ended up taking my couch back to repair and left me with no furniture, they wanted a safety deposit to give me a loaner - after taking my $3000 couch - brutal. Once the couch was returned they didn't ship the legs with it, when the brought the legs a few days later they were severely damaged so I had to wait for new legs. Once they arrived we unwrapped the couch and find that they didn't even fix the stitching, Sneha said they would send a tech to repair but customer service said no they have to pick up the couch again - now its 6 months and still have issues. We were beyond flustered with the lack of customer service - they are all about looking after you until you pay - then GOOD LUCK. Aruv said "my goal is to win you back as a customer" but doesn't mean it or follow up. I have been in the store many times during this whole ordeal and this review isn't close to the EXTREME regret I have from ever walking into that store. In early Oct we got a random message on whatsapp from them offering a cabinet as compensation for our issues. This came out of nowhere, there was never a discussion or a call - how can you offer a piece of useless furniture to a customer without talking to them so we messaged them that we wanted to talk to Aruv, Aruv called and told him that offer made no sense and that I was busy with company. He NEVER followed up - over a month now.
We ended up stiching the couch ourselves (took hours) and got absolutely ZERO from them except BAD memories. We are now 8 months from the time we walked into the store and never have been happy with anything, they are all talk but no action. I will go back for a face to face on my time since Aruv, Sneha or anyone else doesn't have the time, consideration or professionalism to call us. I have multiple pictures of the defective work as well as screenshots from the many whatsapp messages that I will include to this review over the coming days.
Lets see how their customer service or management respond to this review....
Well we are a week since I posted it and no response from customer service or mgmt......here they are proving my point.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS”
“Mis-selling Poor quality Products, I sold my beautiful Lang and Emil grey dining chairs due to changing the room to a black theme kitchen and doors etc, I rang my furniture to ask firstly about the black chairs and the quality, they assured me quality was very good and the chairs are definitely black, when the order arrived I unpacked and set the chairs up as soon as day light had come in to the room to my belief the chairs are NAVY!, every person who came to my house said the chairs are navy, I even sent a picture to my furniture who said they are black, even after the picture having being sent having black furniture in the photo? Clearly showing the difference, I have tried to send the chairs back and as boxes were damaged they wanted to charge me £120 for more boxes which I was reluctant to pay but now having to buy more chairs and having no room I agreed, having got home from being away to send the chairs back the company says boxes are now out of stock and they will not be in stock until after the expiry of sending the chairs back and getting a refund, how convenient? They just take your money and don’t care about the customer, I am now going through my bank under section 75 to do a charge back on my credit card and they can collect the chairs once this goes through, they sell a lot but please read the bad reviews I wish I did! Total waste of time and money shouldn’t of listen to my gut!”
“Bought an expensive LED brass pendant that first didn't look like the picture, but we decided to keep it anyway. Then after less than a month after installation, one of the three cables simply snapped, making this huge heavy brass pendant swing over our heads on the dinning table. A very scary experience, but not as scary as their customer service. When contacted them to request a return/refund, was send a list of demands on how the item has to be packed. Considering we didn't have the packing anymore as I sure didn't expect something like this to happen and that the fact that the pendant is huge and in an odd shape, I got in touch with them to request a spare box (they are the manufacturers) and I'd be happy to pay for shipping. Firstly they said that they didn't have a spare box, then when I insisted that's the only way I could ensure properly packaging, they suddenly found a box and tried to tell me it will cost £30. You heard me well... £30 for a cardboard box with foam inside that I WILL SEND BACK TO THEM.
What I gather of all of this is how hard they are trying to make the return for me, so I give up. I won't. All of this on a £160 item that they produce themselves. I have never dealt with a worse company.”
“I purchased the yellow velvet Laterna armchair. I was really impressed, I added my details on the notification list as the chair was out of stock for several weeks. As soon as I received the email to advise the chair was back in stock I brought it, and it arrived early morning on the 3rd business day. The chair was boxed really well and I am so happy with it, the colour is absolutely beautiful! Well worth the wait!”
