“We booked them 1 week before the visit for a ECP certificate and paid in full. They cancelled the appointment 1 hour before they were supposed to visit. The customer services called and said they were sorry and that they would refund our fee They have not refunded us, are not answering our calls or emails.”

“I wish I read the google reviews and didn’t pay attention to company’s own review! A friend said they used it and they had a good experience but mine was a disaster, an EICR for £81 is a scam , the cost of two bedrooms house or flat is between £150-£200, this was a trap to fail the certificate and demand a remediation work that was not necessary. It is a total scam!!! Stay away from this website. This seems to be a group of people scamming customers and contractors who work for as I read other reviews ! My certificate passed by another electrician no remedial work needed a full test carried. I am glad I didn’t trust them to carry the remediation work and damage my property. My flat was built less than 6 years ago and electric certificate is valid for 10 years, new regulation means landlords need to do it every 5 years.”

“I wish I could give zero stars. Avoid at all cost. I have booked a boiler service with my constructor for £65. Appointment was booked for Monday. Assigned contractor messaged Sunday after 9pm he could not make it and wanted go do Thursday which did not suit me. I asked to do Wednesday but again he could not do it and started suggesting next week. Bear in mind my money has been paid already and long gone the deadline for my possibility to cancel on the website. I requested a cancellation on line. I got apology and promise that my refund would be back in my account 3-5 days. It has now been 8 days. I still have not had my money back and my email with a complaint/concern about my refund still not received, so far has gone without a response. It looks to me like a con and dishonest money rip off. They offer appointment and then past the deadline allowing cancelation they say they can't make it and then looks like they will try not to give yon the refund.”

“Was called to work for this company last minute. Advised of my cost. Did the work for them a few days later and was advised I’d be paid on the following Monday. Still no payment and they haven’t got back to me when I’ve emailed. Never ever again would I work for them. Total scammers”

“I used this company for an EPC in the Reading RG6 area. Joe McGuinness was the cheapest in the area, however he made 2 errors on the requested EPC and did not respond to voicemail or text messages (despite still being available for appointments) until I raised a complaint through MyConstructor. It took 2 weeks from first alerting him of the issue to getting the corrected certificate. Joe McGuinness has recent negative reviews from others who also commented on his lack of communication if the process wasn't right first time. I hope he learns from these reviews.”

“Booked for an EPC for 1130am (payment was pending in my account). No one turned up. I tried to contact the person via the online messenger service...got no reply. 1255am telephoned MyConstructor and got cut off twice. On third attempt got through and the call operator said she would contact the "professional" and get back to me. 1230am I received 2 emails stating the appointment was cancelled. Confused, I decided to look for another professional who could conduct the EPC, although this time I obtained someone directly., rather than through a third party site. At 1:30pm I received a call from MyConstructor claiming the "Professional" had Covid and couldn't attend (nice for him to let me know!!!). The call operator said she would get someone else, however I informed her that I'd already booked another company to do it. The payment still remained pending in my account at this point.....some time later the payment for the non-service got paid to MyConstructor. To add insult to injury, I got an email following this payment to state a refund would be given, although it may take up to 30 days!!!!”

“This company scammed me out of my money! I booked an Engineer to issue a EICR certificate, instead refused to issue certificate until i pay nearly £700 to repair an imaginary fault which should at most be an 'advisory' point. **Avoid this scammers at all cost**”

“Please avoid this company at all costs. Appalling service - let me down TWICE in two days when I really need reliability at my poor mother's flat. No co-ordination between the online forms one fills in and the so-called "professionals" they then get to do the job. BOTH tried to change the time with no notice. AVOID.”

“I would avoid at all costs. I run a company and decided to sub contract and offer our services to the company. After doing many favors for the company on many occasions, I have decided to write this due to the horrific customer service treatment I've received. The company expect you to do jobs for pennies without even weighing up total costs for every thing then expect to take a hefty amount of commission. When you then address this to them they just brush you under the carpet like you've done nothing for them. When in hindsight as a company we have done a lot of underpaid jobs and jobs where their clients decide not to pay for free. With all of this taken into account I wouldn't recommend using as when i asked for a job to be cancelled today, Tansi decided to speak in a very hostile manner and interrupt at every opportunity, while I was explaining why we would like to cancel. The company is unprofessional and needs to lay down some values in the customer service department as the treatment I received was bad.”
