If this is the company which sent gas boiler inspector IT SUCK that guy who did gas inspection in Slough is rubbish, zero customer service skills Just walked in for 5min said that everything is old and needs replacing, hoping we will use his services and get extra cash 👎👎👎 But never even actually inspected boiler

I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the end of tenancy cleaning requested through this site. The so called professional arrived without a hoover, or a mop. He was clearly not a professional and had to be told how to do small things like dust the top of the shelves, doors, cabinets, skirting etc. I had to supervise him very closely and ended up doing a lot of what is his job. I had enough stress to deal with during the moving process, and I called to complain and ask them to send someone, but there was no reaction. It was the worst cleaning I've ever seen and given I spent £190 on it, I am extremely unhappy. I would not recommend using this website or service.

So booked my EPC yesterday for 7pm today. You are given a time slot, so all agreed. Then today at 3.30pm was phoned up saying it would be too dark to do an EPC at 7pm. Also the guy had a 2.5 hours journey to get to me. Won’t use again, I cancelled gone else where. Surely it’s the management that sort the areas out for each employee and times slots to suit. Not my problem, booked in good faith to be mucked about.

I requested myconstrutor.co.uk to carry out an EICR assessment. The communicationwas very poor I had to chase up the electrician 4 the report (he didn't try to contact me after the assessment, I ended up conta thing him 2 days after his visit). His report was finally produced 6 days after the visit after I chased him up once agai. No apologies was given. The report was very technical and didn't make sense to me. When I asked the electrician to explain in simple terms what actions were required to pass the certification, he sent me photos about someone else's property. When I mentionned it to him, he told me that constructor.co.uk would send me a report about the actions to take. I just received a quote and no clarification from them despite contacting them twice.

I booked an electrical certificate through MyConstructor and paid in advance on 2nd September 2024. The assigned contractor cancelled on me three times, at the last minute. Despite giving them multiple chances and communicating, the service was never completed. After the third cancellation, I contacted MyConstructor to request a refund, but they closed the dispute without issuing any refund. TICKET ID: MC-011388

I wish I had looked at these reviews before booking. Supplier called me 20 minutes after the appointment was due to say that they wouldn't be coming. I went to cancel on the website but because it was after the appointment time I couldn't. They've already taken my money and the system makes it impossible to request a refund.

Booked an oven cleaner - paid upfront - noone turned up - contact number not available - emailed the company, no reply, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A SCAM. Impossible to get through to. I have lost £75 which I can't afford to lose and also a whole morning waiting for someone to turn up.

Absolute conman, asked for an electrical certificate, was priced 99 pounds, the electrician failed the certificate and wanted 1750 for new board and extras. Got my own electrician and was charged 120 and passed the certificate!!!

I booked electricity safety certificate. They tried to charge me over £1,000 for 'necessary' remedial work. I booked a different qualified electrician who dismissed their report as "fiction and fairytales" and did the necessary work and issued certificate for £235.00 do not use these people, they are stealing your money

I have booked through myconstructor twice for gas certificates. The first time, he was late, and then did not send me the certificate , I had to chase him. I thought I'd give them another chance as the 2nd time I needed someone it was in a different town. I booked an appt 1 month in advance. On the day he messages to say he cannot come on this day . Even worse than the other one. AVOID !

“I booked at boiler service on Tuesday pay and everything sorted later, they called me 5 hours later to tell me that it was not possible because did not have engineers available for the a date i choose and that they could come a week later and I responded that it is not possible because I had already paid and they told me that they did not have engineers available y the only wawy was to cancel no happy and never i used this service again

I booked an EICR through MyConstructor (TICKET ID: MC-013093) for 29/11/2024. The service provider attempted to rearrange but failed to notify me directly. I had to call MyConstructor myself to cancel and request a refund, which led to an extremely frustrating experience. After an unbearably long hold, I finally spoke to a customer service agent who was, without a doubt, the most unprofessional and rude person I have ever encountered. When I requested confirmation of the refund, I was told vaguely that it would be processed "sometime next week." When I asked to escalate the issue and speak to a manager, I was rudely questioned about my reasons. I was promised a callback within 30 minutes, which never happened. The fact that MyConstructor took payment before the job was complete is unacceptable. When I queried this, I was met with nothing but hostility. If I do not receive confirmation of my refund by close of business today, I will pursue legal action without further warning. Avoid this company at all costs – their service is an absolute disgrace!

After spending >£200 on a 'professional' end-of-tenancy clean, our landlord in the EOT report said the clean was to a domestic standard and has charged us >£300 for a proper professional clean. MyConstructor say that it's not their problem as it's been more than 48h since their clean - but it took our landlord more than 48h to do their report! Clearly MyConstructor know that most people won't complain within 48h, so they don't have to bother doing a professional job! Complete scam, don't waste your money

Really poor customer service. They operate a chat function that is pointless, given the response is always to 'call this number' or log in and create a ticket, and when you do call, you're through to someone who lets just lacks the social skills to help. It works when the contractors you book turn up, but if anything goes wrong, it all falls apart, mainly because there's been zero investment in customer service and staff training. The website takes the strain, but human touch is far more important, and that where it falls apart with My Constructor.

Awful experience with my constructor, epc assessor was hour&half late, then had to chase for certificate to be uploaded over a week later, very hard to get in touch with any from this company, avoid like the plague

Awful. Very very dodgy. They take your money upfront. Mess around with bookings and then refuse to refund you. I've had so many issues with them. It actually scares me that they're still going and haven't been investigated

What an absolute farce trying to get an oven cleaned. The contractor didn't turn up for the appointment, which when I eventually spoke to him, he didn't seem to see as any kind of a problem. The customer 'service' team couldn't get their heads around a simple request for a refund and a rebooking with another contractor. Two days of emails and still no luck in arranging a cleaning. I've been able to book with another company in less than a minute.

hopeless organisation - they have a mix of very good and very poor workmen and it is hit and miss who you get - it has taken me over 6 months to get an EPC done correctly and i still dont have the EPC - disgusting for such a simple job - waste of time
